Remarks

Academic point of view, the syllabus is very good.teachers are awesome. Management, in case of fees can be a bit liberal and can improve by bringing more companies for placements for our course. Could provide sufficient chairs and desks tooo.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Learning imparted as part of the curriculum is apt, knowledge provided is just what is required to be a good expert. But then thourough the academic point of view, after every 2 practicals they conduct a test known as CA and the end practical exam Marks is taken from the average of all the CAs, which I feel I not good, end practical or university practical exam marks should be strictly of what is done on that date, that particular practical performed which is followed by all the other universities and colleges. Considering the averages of all CAs as the practical marks pulls down the CGPA and creates a negative impression on the marks card.

Placement Experience

2

Coming to the placement aspect, companies visiting our college for our course is very very less and even if they come, the package is very low, like 1.3L per annum. But then, then institution takes special steps to prepare the students for the placement season by giving placement training which includes all the process undergone during the placement session, such as aptitude test, group discussions, personal interviews.

College Events

4

All the festivals are celebrated with great enthusiasm and also departmental fests are also there. Many competitions are put up,inter and intra- college events will be there. The biggest fest for the science department is ANWESHNA wherein, life science department, physical science and forensic Science department is involved. Various competitions and programmes are set up and all of them compete to earn the all rounder trophy. It is one of the major events and is sponsored by various companies and is featured in newspapers.

Fee Structure And Facilities

When it comes to the fees, it is quiet expensive. For MSc.Forensic Science it is current 3.5L for 2 years and it increases every year. It can be paid in installments thourough DD or Online payment mode. Once or twice the online payment mode was disablessld though and they wanted cash or DD. Apart from this every semester, the examination fee of 2k has to be separately filled, and extra 500 for the project viva.

Fees and Financial Aid

I've not availed any loan and not aware of the scholarships provided by the college either. But I think in the UG level, there scholarships provided for the students based on the caste and academic marks cut off.

Campus Life

2

There is no gender, caste, religion, race, ethnicity bias in our campus. The campus life is pretty good with the friendly teachers and the staff. We have student forums and magazines. But we do not have student representatives or leaders in the PG level. Student diversity is vast and I have classmates from all the major parts of the country and we live the campus life with great sense of unity.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors were good. Thourough them we got to k ow that the placements are very less and amongst them only 1 or 2 got placed.

Admission

Keen interest towards crime scene and investigation made me choose the course, and Jain was the one providing the course in Bangalore. My admission process was based on the interview as my graduation Mark's were satisfying for the selection process. The admission process usually commences with the JET, Jain Entrance Test in the month of March or April followed by the Group Discussion and Peronal Interview.

Faculty

5

As PG teachers, there are almost 10 teachers, among which, some are NET qualified. According to the hierarchy we have a coordinator followed by the Assistant Professors. All of them are equally good and supportive and provides all the needed clarifications about the subject and are people with great experience in the field. They share their experiences and knowledge which helps us greatly to be as good as them.

I choose this course after enquiring with my seniors and did a lot of searching online and this college was among the top 10. There is not much preparation for real-world applications, they take so many lectures but two or three are only actually useful.

First semester onwards. Companies visited Asian paints, live space, homelane, etc. Offered at live space. The highest package for freshers is 24000 take home while experienced people generally draw 30-40. About 85-90% are getting placements. After getting the degree I've planned to do an internship after which I'll look for a job. Later in the future, I'll start my own interior design company.
