Course Curriculum Overview

5

Course syllabus was good and it has an updated version that covers most of the cutting edge discoveries in the field of nanoscience such as release kinetics of nano drugs, nano robotics and so many. This a two year course with 4 semesters. Each sem we have two internals and two presentation. Each year we have almost 6 subjects. The papers are difficult and competitive but the way the teachers explain you willcrack it easily

Internships Opportunities

5

People in my class got opportunities inNIT for internships and most of the projects assigned during the internship was analzyed and marked during internship report submission. I did my internship at jss itself on drug release kinetics and it was given A+ and also was supported by staffs.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly fee for nanoscience and technology course it will be 43,000 and all the fees will be covered. Other departments we have different fee structure and students doesn't have any merit scholarships but they do have state scholarship which will be useful for kannadigas

Campus Life

5

My overall experience at jss was very good . They gave equal importance for both sports and education as well as cultural programmes to educate and boost the talents of students in all aspects of life. Jss also has Nss and ncc programs where students can became future leaders.

Admission

I chosed this college because of its campus teachers and well established library .jss one of the best college in Karnataka which has naac A ++ accredited university for life science and also I applied for other departments like medical physics, cosmetic science in the same college and I got in but I chosed nanoscience and technology over others becouse of syllabus and future scopes

Faculty

5

The faculty to student ratio is pretty much good and faculty have knowledge and deep understanding of the subject and I have learned new things and also had a great communication with my teachers. Dr.asha srinivasan and Dr. Shankaramma are the two faculties allocated for nanoscience department as its a minority department and newly launched course in india

Night Life

5

It's very safe around university during both day and night. Almost every food shops, clothing, malls, markets are nearby to university. Hostel timings inside campus will be before 10pm and for students who are studying in library will have pass and can leave midnight 12 . Famous hang out spotsnear by college is caravan, pearl resturant and so on

Our particular course dint had any placement drives. But now, from this year they do have for M.Sc. DAN students too. I think its a good move. Other culinary department students had 100% placements as claimed by the University. After getting degree i am interested in pursuing my Ph.D.
