Remarks

Everything is good about this college - the crowd, teachers, subjects and exposure you get here.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

This subject is more of theory than of practical. Graduation in maths hons requires you to learn theoroms and grasp proofs rather than any questions solving tricks. No industry specific knowledge is provided and there is some scope of on-campus placement. No industrial visits are organized.

Placement Experience

3.5

A few companies visit this college for placement drives and some of them are good ones. Those also are basically for b.com or eco hons. Rest of courses don't have a good rate of placements as these (b sc) are non- professional courses. There are societies in college who work on preparing students for placement drives and it is purely students choice to join these or not.

College Events

4.5

There are hardly any technical festivals but an annual cultural fest is organized in which there is a huge participation and thousands of students come to see it. A singer is also made to perform on one of the days and various societies hold their events. There are no management festivals from college side but societies hold them independently.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees is very feasible - it's 28k /year for our course and nearly same for other courses as well. You can pay thourough net banking or cash. There are no additional charges to secure an admission here. College also provides transparency in fee breakdown which is clearly mentioned in prospectus of college.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are scholarship opportunities based on ews category or your scholarships if you perform extraordinarily in your course. Cash prizes are provided for every years result and all that is clearly mentioned in prospectus of college.

Campus Life

4.5

Gender ratio is approximately 1:1. Student fresher parties as well as farewell parties are organized. Environment and crowd is very good and there is no discrimination among students in basis of their economic, sexual, religious status. Everyone enjoys a good life because of diversity of students. Teachers are very supportive in any case standards are not met and rules are strict. For women harassment by student or teacher, a special committees, ICC is there in college.

Hostel Facilities

4

There are only girls hostel in college and they are good rooms with a capacity of 3girls/room. Seats are less and are provided on basis of distance students come from. Local students don't get a chance to be here.many pgs are here in surrounding areas with approx charges around 15k/month which is approximately same for hostels.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni of our course are very helpful and friendly. Our course is the best in college in these terms. Seniors are very helpful and you will get no chance of complaint.

Admission

I got into this college thourough my board marks of 12th class. Delhi University launches cutoffs for various colleges at portal and you can apply in any college whose cutoff you have cleared. The dates are announced after board results. I opted for this course because of the like towards maths but it didn't mark upto my expectations. I chose this institution because of the exposure here and good infrastructure wrt rest of colleges.

Faculty

3.5

There are approximately 10 lecturers for our course and their average age would be around 40-45 years. All are qualified teachers and they provide proper knowledge and clear doubts except for 2-3 of them. All are certified teachers and have good subject knowledge but no industry based experience.

Placement Experience:

The placements at Kirori Mal College are respectable and are getting better. The fifth semester is typically when students become eligible for campus placements. Numerous well known bussineses like Deloitte, KPMG, EY et. Approximately 50-60% of students are placed through campus drives each year. The average package is approxiamtely 5-7 lakhs per year. After getting the degree I plan on applying for a masters degree in the same field.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is good but placement is very bad in the campus. The frequency of exams is 2 hours or 3 hours depends on the credit of that subject. The exam level is of moderate level. We had pass the exam studying 1 week before the exam.

Course Curriculum Overview:

as been from the science background I have deep interest in maths already, and I want to continue my passion for it. The proves the critical thinking the imaginary parts and the applications of mathematics. We see every day it motivates to think about these theorems. The curriculum of course is very good, but due to NEP, we have to study subjects like Hindi in our AEC which is very irrelevant to the curriculum and waste our four hours weekly in mathematics, we mainly deal in proof and theorem. There are very less real word applications that are being taught here. There are various areas for improvement like we can adapt the course or the curriculum.in universities like IITs,Cambridge Oxford and other big universities so that the placement and internship percentage can get improved in our college

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was always interested course. It's relevant to the exams in that particular field. The syllabus for life and other exams in this field. I think that there is a lack of actual real life practice in basic courses. If could be made more aligned to what we do in real life it would have been better. The exams are easy enough to pass by just studying one month before exams and submitting the internal assessments properly. There are end semester exams which gives enough time to prepare well.
