Remarks

College management is very good surely as it is one of the top institution not only from maharashtra but from india. They take very good care of students and tend to resolve their issues with peace, if any. Overall, getting admission in this college is sure achievement of lifetime.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course curriculum is just excellent. The MBBS course is of 4 and half years with additional 1 year internship that makes it total of 5 and half years. Exams in MBBS are conducted in college as term exam, preliminary exam and the final exam is conducted by the University here in my case, MUHS i.e. Maharashtra University of Health Sciences. MBBS is a course of high demand and there is assured placement or you can start the practice of your own.

Placement Experience

4.5

In MBBS there are no such term as placements. Here, aftee 4 and half year college, there is 1 year internship which you can do in the same college or any other college alloted as per your merit. In internship there is direct exposure with patients and you can learn a lot of things such as blood collection and injection etc. After completion of internship you can go for post graduation or you can practice as a medical officer.

College Events

5

Grant Government Medical College is one of the renowned college for it's cultural fests just like its academic achievements. Here there are many grand events which are conducted thouroughout the year. You can participate in Dance, singing, fashion shows, dramas, street play, speech, debate, concerts, stand up comedy shows, etc. These events are generally graced by presence of celebrities like Zakir khan, Ankit Tiwari, Darshan Raval, etc. College also has its own very beautiful Gymkhana located at Marine Drive, Mumbai with wonderful view.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As this is Government medical college, fees are so cheap as compared to private medical colleges. Private colleges charge fees such as 10 lakhs per year whereas these government colleges charge only around 60 k per year. The method of payment includes cash payments, Demand Draft, etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes. I opted for scholarship. There are many scholarships which you can avail by going and filling the forms and completing procedures regarding it in Academic section of college building.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life is very peaceful. Peaceful Campus like this in the city of Mumbai is like a cherry on cream. Campus has large number of trees and all facilities are there. There are separate buildings such as Boys Hostel, girls hostel, academic building, hospital building, canteens, sports ground, boys common room for get togethers, etc. Gender ration is around 50:50. The students live peaceful and friendly life with each other. The environment us so nourishing and pleasant. There are annually conducted sports events in the month of February which ia participated by large number of students.

Hostel Facilities

4

Yes. Hostels are very good in our college. There are combined as well as single rooms available which is alloted as per your merit number each year. The rooms are provided with beds, tables, chairs and they are fully equipped with 24hour electricity supply.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students are very helpful and they surely have crucial role in guiding the junior batches. They tend to guide juniors from the very 1st day of college regarding curricular activities, books to read, events and other things. Alumni of colleges visits the campus sometimes and guide and share their experiences with students.

Admission

For all the admissions in Medical colleges there is an exam known as, National Eligibility cum Entrance Test i.e. NEET. I appeared this exam in 2016 and scored good marks. So i got chance to select college of my own choice. I chose this college because of its own large beautiful campus environment and its name from ages for it's great academic achievements and glories. NEET exam is generally conducted in the month of May and college curriculum starts around 1st week of August.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty of Grant Medical College, Mumbai is one of tye highly educated and demanded faculty due to its expertise, knowledge and experience in respective subjects. The number of lectures depends upon the year which you are in. There are approximately 4-5 lectures each of one hour. in a day on an average. The faculty members are top renowned Doctors and professors in mumbai who surely clears the concepts in the mind of students.
