- The importance of this college is historical..as this is the first Government college in maharashtra established in 1845. Also the hospital is also huge ,in which approximately 10000 beds are tgere for patients.
- Good facilities are available for students in this college...vailability of disection hall...radiology hall..microbiology hall...library..hostel.
- Campus is too much big...so there is no possibility for crowd
Dislikes
- There should be new buildings for residency for students...as hostels in thos college are too old.
- There should be more opportunities for fest , sports...as students must maintain there mental as well as physical health
- Anti ragging programme should be run in an authentic manner.
Course Curriculum Overview
-The curriculum helps in taking decision for doing masters in specific topic...as we got know more about all couses as we learned every year. -MBBS curriculum helps to know the sad reality of this world ..as there are many diseases which are not curable. -Teaching methods are good ..and sholud also do self study as all topics will not be taught. - As mentioned before there should be 2 semesters in a year
Internships Opportunities
-College has its own hospital named J.J. on behalf of Sir J.J. filled with 5000 beds available for patient. -So there is large opportunities for internship for 1 year. -postings are started from the very 2nd year ...which will help in good praciticing...
Fees and Financial Aid
#1. Yearly fees in Grant Government Medical college is not that too much as compare to other semi Government college. #2. Total fees is 14500 INR. In which 2000 is tuition fees and 12500 for security deposit and other.(Only for reserved categories) #3. Fees of some of my friends (OBC,SC,ST,VT,NT)is also same .And for open category it is around 1.2 lakhs per year. #4. I think there will be scholarship facilities for students of this college. #5.Total course fees is around 1.2 lakhs for 5.5 years.
Campus Life
- There are many college fest in an year. Fest such as kurukshetra involves sports. Astitva involves marathi drama natya etc. Auxesis involves qna -Also some of the celebrities also visit this college every year. -Library is filled with books required for the mbbs ms md courses.Also some novels ,genres are also available. -This college has its own gymkhana which is requied for conducting sports events,programmes etc.
Hostel Facilities
-Rooms are provided with separate wifi bathrooms -Each room is accommodate with avg 2 beds. -Campus has 4 canteens so students would try every type of canteen. -If i took any pg or private hostel then the rent is so costly...about 50 k per month which is jot affordable for ever person
Admission
- i have choosen this college over kem and aiims ...as i know that this is the only government college in maharashtra...and one of the best college in india... -Hostel facilities and the historical importance of this college made me to opt for this college.
Faculty
-Faculty to students ration is 2:5 which is appreciable...as there shoyld be balance between number of students and faculties. -I liked the professors from radiology department the most... -There should be 2 semisters within a year...and the level should be easy to medium level. -There must be 3 chances for student who failed in one of the subject
Night Life
The nightlife in and around the college campus is fairly decent and gives students enough options to relax after a long day.
