Entrance Preview

This was the best college in Asansol at that time. I joined there after 10th in Commerce Stream in spite of getting 88% marks in 10th. The college staff were surprised why I have not chosen Science. But, ultimately I stick to my decision.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum was that of Govt. of West Bengal and we had afternoon and evening classes for commerce. Wherein languages, accountancy, business organisation, economics were taught. Later on in B Com, the course was as per the University of Burdwan.

Internships Opportunities

This was not applicable. There was no internship and accordingly no stipend was paid. It is regular graduation course. However, the fees are also very minimal.

Placement Experience

0.5

As I was studying Chartered Accountancy also side by side, placement assistance was not required by me. However, as a regular graduation college, this does not have any placement assistance at that time.

College Events

Yearly, there were cultural events and various competitions among students. Cultural events were very enjoyable and we had been given prizes there. Music and dance events were taken place, both from in house students and artists outside.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee was minimal. It was affordable by all. As far as I remember, quarterly fees were a few hundreds. Fees were governed by the Board and the University. College was not charging anything more.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college did not provide any scholarship. However, they assisted me to apply for National Scholarship. There was no loan facility also, and in deed there was no requirement for the same.

Campus Life

Campus life was not that very enjoyable, we being the only stream of evening batch. There were some competitions taken place every year. I stood first in quiz competition in one year. Also, there were football and cricket tournament.

Alumni/Alumna

There is no alumni network as known to me. However, many of the friends of B B College are connected through social network like facebook. However, an alumni will definitely help to connect us.

Exam Structure

Exam structure was as per the Board and the University. There were not very strict exam condition and we got a lot of confidence from that.

Faculty

Faculty was co-operative, but irregular. Classes are not held in time in most of the cases, making us happy to enjoy time in the ground and in the canteen.

SXC means love with hardship!

Placement Experience:

Placements wise there's no partiality as both the colleges have combined placements round. Around 400+ B.Com students sit together for placements and around 250 of them were placed in 2024-2025 batch.

SXC is super special!

Placement Experience:

EY, PWC, Unacademy, and Deloitte are some of the big names which came last year and has been coming since long. SXC is renowned and placements are great as even B.Com (Hons) have students who have bagged packages worth 20 lakhs or so.

Placement Experience:

There is a placement cell club which functions in the college itself which is efficient in providing over 67 to 98% of students with placements. This percentage can vary for different years and different courses. The college has been successful in attracting top recruiters like deloitte, wipro, TCS, and leader companies from various other sectors. Packages vary significantly from 4 to 6 LPA up to 24LPA. After getting my degree i am planning to first make sure that i have completed my CA course that i am pursuing alongside. And then going ahead with either a job outside kolkata or open a business in kolkata itself.

Having fun at St. Xavier's

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum aligns well with the professional courses like CA and CMA. it has a lot of classes like value added course, modern indian language etc. which help us grow overall. The seminars are very helpful. We submit presentations on rela world topics which prepare us beyond the clasroom. It could be improved to reduce the excess theory portions. The frequency and timing is wonderful.

College life is best

Course Curriculum Overview:

I always want to build my career in commerce and my aim is to be a chartered accountant. So I took this course because the syllabus of CA and B.com is the same. our college faculties are so helpful. They always come forward to resolve our academic and nonacademic doubts. Their teaching methods are also good. we don't need to purchase any book, their notes are enough for our syllabus.

I applied for B.C. College and T.D.B. College along with B.B. College and I was shortlisted for all three but I chose B.B. College over other's majorly because of their Social Media Presence and other factors like convience and stuff.. One single student life in BB college.

I only applied in Banwarilal college and I got admission in this college of commerce department of Hindi shift. I didn't get any rejection from any college because I only applied in this college. BBA course review at BB college Asansol

There is no specific eligibility of this course if you have passed out from Commerce stream rather atleast you have 45% marks in HS in overall subjects .The application form will get at every cyber Cafe to take admission and then you have to visit College at BBA department office to Book your seat after filling form in cyber Cafe.The semester fees you have to pay in college at BBA department office .There is no problem to take admission whether you come from any Cast .In my opinion I want to see full admission process at cyber cafe....Read More
