Remarks

This college is very good for students from jharkhand who can't afford to study in private with heavy fees also this college is one of the best college in jharkhand for engineering just few problems are here that should be sorted out such as - ragging( though has decreased a lot) mess problems for hostel living students and laboratories equipments need to be changed.

Entrance Preview

JCECE ( jharkhand combined entrance competitive exam) i was selected by my state rank in jcece. I was under 1000 rank. I decided to take civil branch as because I love buildings construction and designing also my father is a civil engineer the admission process was quite simple. I was chosen in first councelliing itself i didn't face any interview process during admission.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

B.Tech Civil engineering is 4 years course in our college there is equal effort on both theory and practical knowledge and skill regular project works are held to improve theoretical knowledge. In civil we study various subjects in total 8 semesters these subjects include physics, chemistry, mathematics, mechanics of solids, geo science, water resources, human values, soil mechanics, etc. prof. Ajit Kumar Singh, Dr. Vikram Pandey, Chitranjan sharma are faculties of civil branch. They are very much helpful and skilled. they are products of various IIT institutions they are very much educated they are always available for any kind of help there is a friendly environment with students and faculties.

Internships Opportunities

I was a bit nervous about the internship program in my college then. I was not sure if I could make a good position in internship. lots of good companies came in our campus for internships some of them are- TCS, IBM,Tata Steel, JSW. I wa s interned by tata i loved the internship period after nervous start i learned a lot.

Placement Experience

3

Placements are good in this institution many renowned companies came there like TCS, IBM, Tata Steel, JSW, Indian oil, HMT, etc but % of placements have decresed from earlier years this is the truth many companies who used to come here are not showing interest here today this is a big issue. however about 170 students out of 350got placed in different companies successfully. I was one of them the highest package was 10 lakh pa by IBM lowest was 3.5 lac I was placed for 6 lac pa in Tata company.

College Events

3.5

FIESTA, Sparsh, XENIUM, Nakshatra,YAMINI are our cultural fests organized by college. lots of dance drama, singing and other fun activities are held some famous celebrities are invited to perform to other technical activities include - triveni, tech udbhav, prakriti etc these are educational and social activities giving us a lot of knowledge and ideas.

Fees and Financial Aid

Schlorships are available for bright students securing top marks in semesters exams also educational loan is available for ST SC and other backward class.

Campus Life

3.5

In this campus boys students are 90%of total students only 10% girls students are here i don't know the reason but girls % is not increasing since many years i think the reason is because of its locality. It is outside area of main town. also there is not so good environment for girls here. other than this everything is ok you can see every religion's student here 80% students are from jharkhand itself. some are from Bihar .Bengal and other States mostly are Hindus and Muslims some are local Christians all live in peace and harmony there is a student union whose President is elected by voting each year this Union helps in all sort of problems and activities for welfare of students our college is govt college so the economic conditions are not that better like private colleges but we are satisfied.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostels are good we have separate boys and girls hostel but lots of girls live as pG outside campus as they are more comfortable in campus hostel we have WiFi playgrounds and mess facilities but the mess is not up to the level students prefer to buy foods outside the campus hostel costs are low as compared to pg as because it is a govt college mess is not good every another day there is some issue in mess and food.

Alumni/Alumna

Most of the alumni and seniors have always been helpful and friendly to students and juniors respectively but some students and alumnies are not so cooperative they create problems in different ways this is one problem here we can see rest all is good and I am blessed by getting a guru cum our department's alumni Prof Vikram Pandey he is very helpful and kind towards students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

At BIT Mesra for our departments many cpre companies like Tatva Chintan, Laxmi Organics and Kanoria Chemicals were among some listed companies that came for placements. Luckily we are less in numbers and therefore 90% students from our batch were placed from here. My plans after getting the degree is to pursue masters from US.

One of my colleges best features is its placements program, which offers fantastic chances for students to launch their carrers. In the fifth and sixth semesters, students are prepared with aptitude training sessions, group discussions, and resume construction. About 85% of qualified pupils were placed during the previoes school year. Compared to core engieering fields, placements rates were marginally higher in IT branches.
