Remarks

This college is worth going for because of the study environment and the friendly environment and in this college students come from all over India and there are foreign students too who are studing in this college just because of its reputation in making an engineer. And a good person.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course structure was planned as such that the students have to study and yet they get free time on their own. In 1st year they got all the necessary subjects with professional communication and biology and we have classes with 4-day labs and a half day. Sometimes it's a hectic day and sometimes it's ok.

Placement Experience

5

Kiit holds a good record in placement and job interviews. According to the report, they have 100 placement records in computer science and IT b.tech, and 97% placement in electronics b. Tech department. And our college provides us with an email on which we receive emails for internships and we can accept those mail if we are interested in internships. I have not done any internship to date.

College Events

4.5

We have the technical, cultural, and management festivals at KIIT FEST which is held in the December of every year at the Kalinga student activity center. The fest comprises of events of different streams on which anyone can participate in a technical event from KIIT and we have students from different colleges from India and abroad for participating.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees are a bit high as KALINGA INSTITUTE OF INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY is a private organization and a deemed to be university and one of the Institute of eminence and so for the facilities, we get the fees structure is a bit high of 16.8 lakh in four years.

Fees and Financial Aid

Students are provided a scholarship in the college who are ranked well in the entrance exam of the college. Those are those who are ranked below 1000 in the exam. They are provided a scholarship from KALINGA INSTITUTE OF INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY.

Campus Life

5

The labs are well equipped with modern machines and the technology and the technical staff is also well educated to make us aware of every feature of the experiment. And as for the sports we have the KALINGA STUDENTS ACTIVITY CENTRE for different types of sports and cultural activities. We have cricket, football, hockey, rugby, and many others. Recently KIIT hosted khelo India in 2020.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The hostel is a neat and clean one with good rooms and bathrooms which are regularly maintained by staff and the restrictions in strict as there will be a fine of late entry after 7:00 pm. Smoking and drinking alcohol are strictly prohibited in the hostel campus and if someone is caught doing so they are brought to a meeting with the committee members with the parents. And they have to pay a fine.

Alumni/Alumna

KIIT has an anti-ragging environment as such the seniors are friendly and they hold peer-to-peer classes for the Juniors to clear their doubts and they also help them in different aspects like helping in robotics society and many other societies.

Admission

We have to apply for the kiitee examination from Kolkata at salt Lake. It was an online test with tight security like that of jee ant the test comprises 3 papers. Maths, physics, and chemistry. After the result was out and we got our individual ranks. According to ranks, we were called to kiit for our counseling and we got our admission.

Faculty

5

All the faculties of our college are NIIT and IIT pass outs and some of them have a teaching experience in different IITs. And they are well qualified to make us understand the course and they make the course very easy for us.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The technical background and future influenced me to choose this course. The preparation for real-world applications or further academic pursuits are average. Theres no fair improvement needed in the course curriculum and teaching methods. The frequency of the exams are 2 sem exams and 4 quiz in class exams. The timings for sem exams are 3 hours while for quiz tests its 30 minutes. The difficulty level is average of all the exams

Also there are companies like Amazon or GOOGLE as well. The approx percentage including off and on campus is more than 90%. My plans are basically to explore my entrepreneurship skills.

Placement Experience:

Placement record is not so good.. companies like Microsoft and Google have blacklisted KIIT due to poor performance and mismanagement by the KIIT in providing with the right candidates. KIIT shortlists students in basis of multiple tests taken on platforms like AMCAT and on that basics provides the profiles of best performing candidates to the companies invited for campus hirings regardless of the field and job specifications and requirements, so basically KIIT has a very below average performance Training and Placement Cell as they lack decision making and management skills to segregate candidates for hirings according to their skills and not by their general scores and CGPA. NOTE: Companies have shown least interest in KIIT for last 2 years and the poor performance of previous batches and mismanagement by KIIT authorities. KIIT promises 100% placements but that is actually far from reality.
