PGDM at MSE

Being a new course is the only drawback of the course. All facilities are available. The library is open till 9:30. Students live like a huge family as the number of students are very less. Overall it is a nice experience

The course structure is highly mathematical and I suggest any aspirants to make sure your mathematical skills is up to mark. Having some basic understanding of programming languages and statistics can be very useful. It is a very rigorous course and you will have to put in a lot of effort.

As it is the first batch (PGDM), the placement process has been as expected. Not too great but not that bad as well. Internship opportunities are huge for PGDM students, if you don't get in thourough the internship process, the faculties will help you get into some companies thourough their contacts in the market. Stipend offered ranges from 10k pm to 1lks pm

All kinds of festivals are celebrated and a annual fest is also organised. Everything is organised by students. CoE is conducted almost every other week and great speakers from different parts of the world are invited as the part of Friday lecture series.

PGDM fee is little expensive. It's 10lks as of now. It is to be paid in thouree instalments over the period of one and half year. While MA course is very cheap right now, I'm guessing that it will also increase.

College doesn't have any partner in case of loans. You will have to look for it yourself. The administration is lenient and gives to enough time to process the loan and pay the fees. However, I wouldn't suggest getting a loan unless you are really sure that you are going to do well.

A lot of assignments are given so that students can develop their skills on real life problems. There is research society for students who what's to pursue research post the course. Many workshops are also organised.

Mine was the first PGDM batch so we did not have any seniors. However, the seniors of MA students were fun and were really friendly and helpful. MA also has a huge network for their alumnus. They also helped us.

Analytics is the most seeked after course these days. I came across analytics when doing operations research as a part of my UG course. I know instantly what to do in my PG. As mine was the first batch of PGDM in MSE, I did not have to attend a interview to get in. They liked my profile and decided to give me a seat.

MSE is blessed with many great faculties, especially in finance and economics. The only worry is that some of the courses are taught by visiting faculties and you may not have much time to interact with them except post class ( They do share their e-mail address for any kind of doubt clarification).
