Remarks

all kinds of festivals are celebrated and an annual fest is also organised, so actually that part is pretty fun.many workshops are also organised, that increases the interest even more in the course, because after that the course no longer remains theoretical, but also practical.

Course Curriculum Overview

the exam structure is pretty basic just like any other college . the course is really indulging and statistical, helps to improvise on many skills.there are 5 courses designed under this curriculum and mine was the best one.

Placement Experience

4

Madras School of Economics has a record of 100% placements for the last 4 years.the avg package offered was 9 lacs per annul. the highest package went up to 15 lacs, and the least was 6.5 lacs per annul , last year .90% of the companies were from south India.

College Events

4.5

the campus life is amazing.you get to spend 2 beautiful years of your life here.you get to taste life in Chennai. Holi, Diwali, Onam and Saraswati Pooja. every single festival is celebrated here with a lot of enthusiasm.

Fee Structure And Facilities

MA fee is a little expensive in my opinion. its 10 lacs as of now. It is to be paid in three installments over the period of one and half year. You might find a cheaper private college for the course but MSE is worthy too ,so keep that in mind.

Fees and Financial Aid

this is a big issue, as the college itself doesn't have any supplementary partner in case of loans. you will have to look in the matter by yourself. the administration is pretty lenient when it comes to the work process of loans.

Campus Life

my course in particular didn't have to deal with labs but other than that the practical work was fulfilled by a lot of assignments are given so that the students can improvise skills.there is a good research society though!

Hostel Facilities

Hostel fee for 3 year will be around 1500/semester but after 3 year it will cost around 55000/semester. the food at the mess is average quality compared to price you are paying, but all over campus is pretty good.

Alumni/Alumna

MA students are mostly a bunch of seniors, they were fun and very helpful. Ma also has a huge network for their alumnus too. they helped us too. so my department got lucky in this field ,i suppose. other than that they are helpful in the admission process too.

Admission

the eligibility for my course i.e M.A in Financial Economics was on merit basis. the minimum eligibility is 55% in graduation. their is one more point to keep in mind that the maximum age is 24 years.

Faculty

4.5

they are introducing more courses apart from the only 5 courses in the curriculum.teaching methods are mainly based on presentations. courses provided by the college are very useful , and the teaching quality is satisfactory. i didn't get much of an industry exposure, but they are trying to provide more industry exposure too, which is great.

It needs to include real time example and focus on economics and history of Accounting Exams are conducted twice in a semester (internal) and end semester exams are conducted once per semester The difficulty of the exams are really easy if we just pay attention for the lectures
