Short review on Nie institute of technology mysore

I am in a position that I can't say My college is good or bad, It is still good as compared to some other vtu colleges, on the other hand, it still appears as a not much good college when compared with other institutions in the mysuru like NIE, SJCE, VVCE.

The Syllabus which we are studying is prescribed by VTU belagavi, As all, we know our syllabus is somewhat outdated. They want us to just copy the things as it is from the prescribed textbook. They will never care about how you will understand the content.

Placement rating is average as compared to other VTU engineering colleges, It varies every year, Some reputed companies will also recruit students from this college. Average placement is about 10-15 among 60 students in a class

There is no major Workshop or Hackathons are conducted in the college. There is a cultural fest every year but no one 100% sure that it is happening or not. But there is a lot of opportunities in VTU sports tournaments

The fee structure is somewhat ok as compared to other vtu colleges, It's about 70k for a CET student in a year and about 125k for a management seat in a year. Even after paying 70k, we have the pay VTU examination fees as University regulations

There are some scholarships are available like vidyasiri, ssp, nsp, etc. But there is no guarantee that you will be getting the scholarship. Sometimes they reduct some amount of scholarship or delay about 2-3 months

Labs are ok But some of the computers in the lab are operating in windows XP, some lab components need to be updated. Sports tournaments are highly encouraged but there is only one common court for football, basketball, handball, volleyball, etc.

The hostel is in the construction stage, Appears to be good, Cost is estimated as 100k per anum. Some students are settled in NIE Hostel Ashok Puram, They are coming through college bus every day by traveling about 15km+15km in a day

Some of the tech talks and workshops conducted in the college gave me a better experience. There is a robotics club is established with the support of IIT Bombay, Some seminars and practicals in the robotics club are really interesting

I had written KCET-2018, I got a rank of around 52k. I heard about this college from various websites so I have chosen this college as one of my options. In the third round of B.E seat allotment, I got this college under the GMK quota.

Some of the faculties are giving their 100% effort to achieve the best result and trying to improve student knowledge to face the challenges in this competitive world while some faculties give you horrible experiences, they behave like VTU law enforcers.
