Campus Life
Extra curricular activities are quite satisfactory. Due to lack of Space, we somehow struggle to perform well. Labs are outdated now. Major reforms are taking place till now. Due to new rule Gender ratio is quite good now. We have equipped workshops. Our institute is heavily guarded. We are not allowed to indulge in any political activities inside or outside the college campus. Students here are from almost every dates of India. We get a healthy atmosphere here. No inequality based on religion, race, caste, is experienced here. Every student here are meritorious in their own way.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are average. Hostel rooms are limited. Every student can't get accommodation there. Hostel rooms are also alloted on the basis of GPA Score of the exams. There is only limited seats avalaible for hostel many students right from first year have to manage their own accommodation due to inadequate hostel facilities here. Hostel are well maintained and well equipped with all state of adt facilities no luxury things available here. Food is satisfactory but not good
Alumni/Alumna
I would say Best alumni network is here in our college. Donations to the poor students are practised by our alumni. Our alumni gather every year to enjoy and remember their old memories associated with the college. GEC-NIT Raipur Alumni Association have inaugurated the super Golden Tower. It is 5 storeyed building which consists of movie theatre, Indian coffee house restaurant, lounge, meeting hall, shopping mart and many more. Alumni - student interaction cell is setup so that students could learn from the experience of their pass out seniors.
Admission
Admission is solely based on rank on JEE (Main) which is a All India Level examination. Candidate can apply for the exam if He/She has passed the Higher Secondary Exam in Science Stream with 75? or above marks. No donation facility available. Admission process starts with the nationwide online counselling and ends with the document and physical verification.
Faculty
Teachers are well qualified but reluctant to use their experience in classroom. Classroom Teaching remain boring but Teachers help a lot if Student finds his path in research. Faculty are more involved in administration and less with students. Faculty are highly educated but are arrogant and rude. They have assistant with them. Usually Professor's assistant take the classes as the professor is busy in meetings or in other works. Professors are strict when the students approach for any non-academic help. Poor attendance means the student couldn't get good marks even if he/she has done well in examinations.
