Remarks

Please do not keep changing the internals pattern as you like there are some standards set by VTU and all otherwise colleges follow them. So it would make lot of sense to standardize a pattern instead of changing it whenever you feel like upon whosoever interest i love the rest of the things about college and yes, I miss it.

Entrance Preview

CET was the only exam I took i got a 12000 ranking this college is old and the faculty were well experienced. Also I heard from few seniors that the college was really good. It was close to my home and there are frequent busses to the college from all areas this made me choose this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

It is really good if one is interested. We had an amazing faculty too but it looks like most of the old faculty have left the college now. New guys have taken over the management keeps changing the internals pattern every semester which is annoying. You have a lot of electives to choose from.

Internships Opportunities

Internship has to be searched by yourself the college does not initiate any internship it was not even mandatory for my batch. But I did internship at a central government company and did not get any stipend i did my project at the same company too so overall learning experience was good.

Placement Experience

3

Placements are pretty good compared to many same level colleges. But again this keeps changing for different batches. Totally depends on the companies willing to hire students at that point of time. Top companieslike TCS, Sap labs, IBM, Eurofins etc did visit the college and hired decent number of students. So if you have a good score in academics and a bit of confidence then college will surely provide opportunities to get a job before completion of 8th semester.

College Events

3

We do have fests every year we have one technical and a cultural fest every year. Many colleges are invited and it's a big event lot of events are conducted during technical fest there are robot race, quiz, college, coding and debugging and many other events conducted. It's real fun. But cultural fest are kind of not that great events like dance, singing, mad ads, painting etc do happen. But they can be organized in a much better way the college management doesn't take much interest too in organizing cultural fest and the funds are low so personally I wouldn't like attending it.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, don't expect any of these but you can claim any government approved scholarship such as the scholarship for army retired children, SC/ST students etc.

Campus Life

4.5

I had an amazing time no ragging and stuff very friendly atmosphere. The gender ratio is 50:50. We have guest lectures, technical workshops etc organized regularly. People from all parts of India can be seen here. Yes, there are many north Indians, malayalis etc. It is economically reasonable here coz you really won't burn your pocket much if you Don't want to. But you will have to spend few bucks on Xerox copy of textbooks every semester.

Hostel Facilities

4

I'm not sure becaue i did not stay at hostel but I had friends and as far at I have heard it's reasonable. There are apartments and PG's around college guys need not worry coz they can rent out a room and stay. There are many in and around channasandra area the hostel rooms are on sharing basis. The food is not bad but you Wil get bored of it after some time this happens almost at any hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

Nothing much i never took interest in communicating or taking help from them. But during fests and few workshops we did have interactions and they are helpful but depends on whom you end up talking to.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty are more than ready to help you anytime with your doubts and queries overall it is worth it.

Placement Experience:

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
