College is very backward in Extracurricular activities. Infrastructure is not well developed in case of sport and external activities. College is located at breathtaking location. Hostel Facility is not upto the mark.

Curriculum is very lengthy but once you get into it, doesn't look so hectic. This college is the only in the country where research is done on coldwater fisheries and also taught to undergraduate students. Two exams are conducted per semester, internal and external and practicals. But frequently disturbances in valley make the exam schedule harder.

College doesn't offer any placements what so ever, which is a big grey area in all this. Fisheries is still a developing sector in Kashmir, so there aren't so many Job opportunities in Government sector as well. But I can say for sure that new horizons are going to open.

Apart from the cultural, festivals and events are celebrated but not with any zeal and not everyone because as I said said earlier we rearly get time for these due to political instability of the region.

Around Thirty Thousand per semester for Self Finance and one third for Open Merit students. This fee includes everything from Field visits, picnics, NSS, Study tours, examination fee etc. Well In my opinion the fee structure is feasible.

College doesn't offer any loans. But yeah scholarship are offered to few seats. They have to pay just third of the amount other students like Self Finance category students have to pay. Study loans are offer by Commercial Banks to Study here.

About the Extracurricular activities, College is a bit backward in the field. Sports meet are held inside the college but lacks outside exposure. Gender Ratio is dominated by females, by about 3:1. Environment is very much secular but in respect to the boundaries of Islam.

To get the admission in the college, one has to appear in the Entrance test conducted by the University every year. There are limited no. Of seats and the selection is done on the merit bases untill all seats are filled up. Entrance test is not that much tough, but not easy also. I personally took this course because I'm interested in animal sciences and I couldn't qualify for veterinary course.

I can say with authority that the faculty is over qualified, and we'll dedicated. Every Head of Department is well known and respected thouroughout the country. Only thing is that they are more involved with research with PG students and less with UGs.
