Course Curriculum Overview

Exam Structure Every semester there was an exam A key component for the preparation for any exam understanding the subject and style. For all fashion studies before the NIFT (National Instituted of Fashion Technology) exam, was focus on subject. Course Curriculum Overview It was mix of theory, technical & practical curriculum refers to the lessons and academic content taught in a school or in a specific course or program. In college, curriculum is often defined as the courses offered by technical education.

Placement Experience

A number of companies came for the internships and the faculty helped the students in making right choices. The average stipend was Rs.5000/- per month. Placement opportunities are provided to almost all students. Others chose higher studies or made arrangements for themselves via contacts and alumnus. All leading retailers and export houses were part of the placement drive.

Fee Structure And Facilities

We passed out in the old fee structure which was quite low as per course standards. But our junior batches had to pay almost 3 times our fees. That was still be less than any course provided by private fashion institiutes.

Campus Life

Gender ratio was extremely skewed with mostly dominated by girls. Extra-curricular were regularly organised and annual sports meets were events of mass participation. Additionally DJ nights on freshers and other random occasions. Sports fest also got organized by the clg.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel premises with a capacity of 26 twin sharing rooms is ready for occupancy. Interested students gave hereby informed to give their willingness to get seats in the hostel The allotment of rooms was be done by lottery system strictly on twin sharing pattern. No changes in rooms thereafter was entertained.

Admission

Cleared NIFT common entrance exam with a ranking of 224 and had choosen NIFT for its reputation of being home to free minds. Then got admitted to this college after the counseling process was over and I got this according to my score.

Faculty

4.5

Very good, Very practical & knowledge Good background from industry, They helped in experiments that occur in the educational process. Most of the faculty was subject matter expert. They were very cooperative.

Remarks:

Our college has experienced and high quality teaching faculties. They are always helpful and nice toward students. They complete the portions required on time and prepare us well for the external exams. The average age is about 30 to 35. They use presentations and other technology in order for students better understanding.

Remarks:

College is very backward in Extracurricular activities. Infrastructure is not well developed in case of sport and external activities. College is located at breathtaking location. Hostel Facility is not upto the mark.

ALL ABOUT NIFT SRINAGAR

Nift was my first preference for fashion design although I also filled form for other colleges also like the pearl and the design village but these werey backup plans in case I didn't get admission in nift.fortunately I got admission here so I didn't opt any other college.There are 3 stages of exams in nift the 1st stage is GAT exam which is your general ability test where you have to give written exam it includes maths questions, reasoning questions, general knowledge questions,english comprehensive paragraph etc . Then comes the 2nd exam that is CAT it is the creative abilities test in which you have to sketch according to the question basically it's a drawing test which you have to give creatively and after that if you pass both these test then comes the situation test the 3rd stage of the exam in which you have to make 3d model according to the question the material is provided by the campus you just have to use that material only to make your model and write a concept note . NIFT the college of dreams

I applied to NID first and then UID, I got in UID but the thing was the fees were very expensive, and coming from an average middle class family that's not something my parents could afford. I got rejected from NID, I still don't know why. So in my college admissions you have to first apply for the college on the online official website, when it's done there are 2 exams that are done 1. GAT 2. CAT. In gat you have all the practical knowledge which you have to show but in CAT it's all about your creative abilities...Read More
