Remarks

The best engineering college in Kerala. It has NIRF Rank 71. And 5 th rank in india on architecture. Good ambience fully covered by trees, best cultural events and fests. Faculty and placement is good

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is good. Its an outcome based education cirriculum. The college is affiliated to kerala technological university. There are total of 6 semesters For each semester. There will be two series exam conducted for internal valuation and if we are eligible we can write the semester examination which is conducted at the end of the semester the exam is of descriptive type.

Placement Experience

The college has a placement unit. The college is the 3rd best engineering college after NIT Calicut and IIST Trivandrum. 150+ Companies recruit here. No college doesnot provide any internship. We can avail scholarship from Kerala government like Egrantz and there are many scholarship schemes.

College Events

The main cultural event is Dhwani it is one of the best cultural event in Kerala. There is a technical first called as Drishti which is mainly exhibition of technical aspects. Dhwani is a heavy budjet program (60lakh+) and entry is by tickets

Fee Structure And Facilities

the college fees is very low 3500 per semester and exam registration fees is rs 1500. So the college fees is very low compared to any other colleges in kerala. People belong to OEC/SC/ST have fee concession

Fees and Financial Aid

College doesnot offer any scholarship. Kerala government offers scholarship for different schemes based on the financial status,caste. Egrantz is one of the main scholarship provide to studenta whose annual income is less than 1 lakh

Campus Life

The extracurricular activites are sports. Conduct sports events like football,softball,volleyball,cricket,basketbball. College is politically active. The main parties are KSU and SFI. College has lot of clubs like Robocet which mainly related to technical activites, IOT club, IEDC etc.

Alumni/Alumna

The collegee has a vast alumini than any other colleges in kerala. The alumini calle as CETAA is one of the backbone of the college. They provide financial help, help the students and bring new companies to the college

Admission

The admission For MCA is through an entrance examination conducted by LBS Center for Science and technology. Based on the rank we will get the admission. Reservation seats are also there based on caste.

Faculty is good. Most of the teachers are good highly qualified and supportive. The college supports students well. Since it is a government institution one cannot expect that much care like in a private college. It is good

Placement Experience:

For Integrated MCA, students become eligible for placements since the 9th semester. For Btech, its 7th semester. Some of the companies that visited our college are SOTI, UST, Leopard Technologies, Safran Digit. There are many other companies that we can apply to but those drives are not conducted at our college like experion technologies and G10X technologies. Our college is the only college in Kerala from where students are hired by Safran Digit. I have gotten placement in G10X technoologies private limited.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choosed MCA at Nirmala College due to several reasons: • It is a course which is open to anyone who has passed any bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% and above. The only prerequisite is that one need to attend the annual LBS MCA entrance examination to secure admission to this course. • The syllabus of MCA in this college is affiliated with that of MG University, Kottayam. It is a vast syllabus covering various applications of computer science including programming in various languages such as C, Java, PHP, Python, data structures, algorithms, statistics, data mining, machine learning, software engineering, networking, etc. • The course is theoretically good but practically it doesn't really equip all students with enough knowledge and understanding to be placed in a good IT company. Some portions could be excluded from various theory subjects such as Networking with TCp/Ip and Algorithms Analysis.

Exploring the Pathways of Excellence

Placement Experience:

students typically become eligible for campus placements strarting from the 7th semester of their engineering program. preparation for placements starts in the 6th semester. Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services, Wipro, IBM, Amazon etc. the numbers of offers made varies each year, but on average, each major recruiting company makes 5 to 20 offfers during the placement season. Highest package can go upto 15-20 LPA offered by companies like Amazon, oracleetc. and average package range between INR 4-6 LPA like profiles offered are Software Developer, Data Analyst, Project Manager etc. Approximately 70-80% of eligible students secure placements through campus recruitment drives. My pan is to secure a job and after getting stable then trying to do my wn business in this field.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have completed BCA so I followed its corresponding post graduation . There are 7 faculties at Calicut University campus for MMCAand a Lab assistant. The faculties must complete post graduation or any higher education (PhD or net qualified). In MCA exams are conducted by sem vise so there should be a semester exam after each. It is not that much easy to pass these exams so need to focus on each subjects thoroughly

Life at CET

This college is the best government college in Kerala. It has been consistently first in KIRF ranking. It has very cheap fees. The campus is very beautiful and spacious (about 200 acres). My best choice of colleges very IITs and NITs like most people. I couldn't crack JEE. I only applied to this college because I had very high ranking in KEAM exam and was confident of acceptance. KEAM exam is a lot easier to crack than JEE. It has basic higher secondary school syllabus. To get my course you would have to be around 700th rank.
