DTU, a place of dreams

Overall it is a wonderful college and one should not miss the oppurtunity of joining it. I have spent my 3.5 years till today with excitement and no pressure about my curriculum and yet able to grab a quality placement oppurtunity to work in a big company.

The curriculum is well planned and quite chilled. There is not much pressure on students and exams are well designed to prepare the students well for their career. Also the research is well promoted. Overall one of the best colleges of delhi.

DTU is known for its amazing placements and every year hundreds of companies visit the campus to hire students for summer internship and FTEs. All the major tech giants(Amazon, microsoft, google, apple etc) visit the campus. Last year i got internship at Deutsche telekom and received a monthly stipend of 30k. This year i got placed at oppo RnD at CTC of 21 lacs per annnum.

DTU holds one of the biggest festival of Delhi, i.e, engifest in feb every year. It is spread across 3 days with some of buggest star nights. Aahvaan is also celebrated which is the sports fest. Yuvaan, a literary fest is a cultural festival organised every year.

The fee structure is moderate, as compared to professional courses and other engineering colleges the fees is quite less. The fees is incremented 10% every year as per the law and for the batch 2016-20, i paid a total of 5,80,000 pees for 4 years.

DTU offers scholarship for EWS under the scheme of government. Also one can easily avail the loan facility from the State Bank of India situated inside the college campus. State bank under the Scholar loan scheme provides students of DTU interest free loan.

Since DTU is an engineering college, the gender ratio is quite unbalanced. There are plenty of resourses available for sports and other extra curricular activities. There is also an indoor gaming zone where one can play pool, table tennis and badminton.

Seniors are quite helpful and concerned about the juinors, they always make sure to guide the freshers on the right track and live college life with energy. There are a lot of clubs and societies for students where one can interact with seniors and get some career advices and how to manage college curriculum.

To get admission in B.tech programme in DTU, one has to give JEE-MAINS and fill the form for JAC. After that there are multiple rounds of cutoffs released by the college. Based on the cutoffs courses are alloted.

While most of the professors and faculty are well qualified and have ample experience in their respective fields, some are farely new. The teaching style and the interest teachers take in teaching any topic or subject is highly respected.
