Entrance Preview

I took COMEDK entrance exam and secured rank 7500. I choose Information science and engineering in the National Institute of Engineering.

Course Curriculum Overview

Information science curriculum was overall very good. It covers all aspect of computer science which helps in campus placement also. Major subject are data structure, Analysis Design and Algorithm,Computer Organisation,Microprocessor,Java and DBMS.

Internships Opportunities

Actually i did not get any internship offer from my college. But some of the student got internship offer from cisco during third year in 6th semester. But during campus placement i got first offer in campus placement on very first day.

Placement Experience

Placement opportunities is really good for computer science and Information science branches. Most of them are dream companies like Cisco Systems,National Instruments, Microsoft IDC,SAP Labs,Adobe,Intel,Deolite,Samsung etc. Mass companies which comes are TCS,Infosys,Accenture etc. Overall your placement is certain if you choose any of the above branches.

College Events

Numerous events are organised every year including technical event and cultural events. IEEE fest like Ankura. Department fest event are also organised like ACE associations of computer engineers which is combined event of computer science,information science and master of computer application.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is feasible for Karnataka students only. For COMEDK student it is a bit expensive. It will be around 1 lakh 50 thousands per year. But is worth spending it as you will get good campus placement. I got placed in Cisco systems with CTC of 8.5 Lakh per annum.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is very easy. you can easily pass all internal,mid semester and semester end examination very easily. It is less hectic compared to other colleges. Weightage of Internaland mid term is like your marks will be converted out of 50 and semeste

Faculty

Most of the faculty were above average when you compare with other college. Specially faculty for second and third year courses are very experience and they teaches us with some practical example.

My College Story

Placement Experience:

Students in my college have a very good amount of campus placements where students become eligible from the final year 7th semester however the placement cell starts training from the 1st year means 1st semester itself like training for aptitude test, coding and mock interviews. Top it companies like TCS infosys, wipro, Accenture, capgemini, cognizant, IBM, tech mahindra mind tree. The campus receives 300+ offers. The average package 8 - 10 LPA and highest package 54 LPA. Every year 90% students are placed. After my degree i am planning to higher studies in abroad.

My College Story

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is generally detailed and aligned with industry Expectations but there is still scope for modernisation in certain areas.Overall i would like to rate 8/10. The syllabus include both theoretical and multiple lab components which ensures hands on learning. The practical labs like programming work and project with learning help students understand how concepts are applied in real work places. A few theory heavy subjects feel outdated and no longer match the current industry demand this could be revised or replaced.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester, but the overall placement scenario in DSCE for CSE is below average. Not even 50% of students get placed in good companies. Most students end up getting offers from mass recruiters or in sales and non-tech roles. Only a small percentage of top performers get decent technical packages. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Accenture, Cognizant, and a few mid-tier companies visit the campus, but the number of high-package, core-tech roles is very limited. The average package is on the lower side compared to other top COMEDK colleges. Because of this, many students plan for higher studies, certification courses, or off-campus drives after completing the degree. The on-campus placement support definitely needs improvement, especially for technical roles.”

My Honest College Experience at CIT(Cambridge Institute of Technology)

Placement Experience:

The students who are studying in 7th semester ( final year) are eligible for campus placements but before that in 5th semester there is pre placement training like aptitude everything. Top companies visit for placement like TCS , infosys, wipro, accenture, capegemini, IBM, techmahindra, Mindtree. Average there are 150-250 offers. Average package is 7-8 lpa. The highest package is 54 lpa at botify company. 85 % of students get placed at cse branch and ai amd ml and civil 30 - 50% . Overall 80% students gets placed. My plan is join a top product based company liek google with a good life.

Great college with poor placement

Placement Experience:

Placements are the only bad thing about the college . Average ctc is only 4 lakhs per annum and only handful of students get actual placement.and rest get placed in either call center or training companies

A complete discipline with education

Placement Experience:

The placement are good average packages 8 lakhs highest packages 35 lakhs and the companies include Google ,Microsoft ,service now companies and usually internships are provided as students become eligible for internship after 3rd year percentage of students getting placement 80% my plans still not yet decided

I got admission in this college from entrance exam named comedk it is conducted all over India. In comedk questions will b asked on 12th phy chem and maths. I got seat via KCET. KCET is held once a year . It's engineering entrance exam for colleges in Karnataka. After the exam there will be counseling and usually the cutoff for NIE Mysore CSE and ISE is around 5k to 6k .
