Remarks

Very good college with lots of good teacher, liberty, laboratory and study rooms. The facilities available with the laboratory for chemical experiments were superb and we use to really enjoy those laboratory days.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

It's a good structure. We need to appear test examination before our final exam. After a student get qualify for the test exam then only he or she can appear for the final exam. And it was a 3 year course so I did appear 3 time in final exam.

Placement Experience

1

No placement or job opportunities for my Subject but may be available for other subjects. But one candidate will get a chance for post graduate in the university campous. No idea about the internship.

College Events

4

Excursions, Environmental visit, College sports day, College inter department cricket matches, College festival Fresher's welcome Students use to enjoy all the events with their hearts and they use to take part in all activities.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible fees use to charge from the student. Two types of charges were Admission fee and it was almost 5000 INR per year that is 15000 INR in 3 years. Another was the examination fee and it was 4000 INR per examination, it was included the practical exam fees. Total in 3 years will be 12000 INR.

Fees and Financial Aid

Some good scholarship was available but not via college. we use to arrange some scholarship from some NGO, GOVT OF INDIA, GOVT OF WEST BENGAL and others. And the amount was 10000 to 100000. We need to spend more effort to get such kind of scholarship.

Campus Life

5

Extremely good facilities were there from sport to drama to computer education and others. Our college won auditorium was there were used to take part in different seminar, functions. We also have one club hose and sports ground for sports.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel seat were limited so I use to stay in PG with my own cost and the costing was 4000 INR per month. We use to stay in PG and the room was 3 sharing. We use to cook for our selves and we also use to arrange the vegitable and others for cooking.

Alumni/Alumna

No major interactions with my senior and no proper alumni association is available to arrange the reunion or get together type programme. Only things are available like college website and college Facebook groups

Admission

The admission process start with Application form fill up. In this form a student can apply in multiple subjects along with priority. Then the college authority issue multiple or single merit list depending on students 12 th Marks, Subject marks and year of passing. Along with this merit list the college authority also use to notify about the date of admission for the merit list students. Now the student have to appear in college on the mentioned date, then the college authority will verify all the necessary documents and allow the student for further processing. In the processing the student need to fill up few forms and also need to pay the admission pees to the college via bank. During my time, in the year of 2013 everything was offline but now those are online. The student also need to pay an amount to apply for one or multiple course s.

Faculty

4

Excellent faculties, they used to arrange the practical as well as the therotical classes, excursions quite regularly. Those proactcal classes and more interactions with teachers help one student to get confident on the subject.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I've always found economics to be really interesting and thats why I choose to persue it. I wanted to dive deep into the actual concepts and workings of the economy and understand how the world works from an economist's point of view. Sadly the curriculam doesnt bridge the gap between theory and real life. It focuses heavily on textbook and not how the world works.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course is good but you have to opt for masters and PhD to get a good placement. After bsc there's not any placement. The curriculum was basically practical and theoretical based. But I think it should be more practical so that we can get a job after doing bsc. The teaching method was good I didn't have any problem with that. As it was under Calcutta University so the exam questions were too difficult, sometimes it came out of our syllabus , i think they should change this a little bit .

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus for BSc. Microbiology Hons. was in line with my interests. Few topics like virology, bacteriology, and diversity of the microbial workd are what drew my attention to pick this course. Although there are some portions which one would consider "boring", but I believe every subject has its interesting as well as boring portions. It's seems fair to judge a subject by seeing if the "boring" portions outweigh the "interesting" parts or not.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In terms of relevance and comprehensiveness of the course curriculum, my rating is solid 4.1 out of 5. Because it offers a variety of courses like compulsory english, environmental science, constitution values of India, Inter Disciplinary Courses where one can opt for a variety of subjects which change along with the course proceeds or semester changes. Not only that two major papers and one minor paper are present throughout the semester. As a student we should be well aware of our country and its law as well as how we can keep our environment healthy followed by sustainable development.
