Remarks

Everything is very good but sometimes i feel like, personally, the fees for the general students is a bit high because you're spending almost 1lac per semester while some people only pay around 30,000 rupees only. The limit should be raised till 6-7lacs as the person may have other expenses than the college also and just in case to support the parents. (just my personal opinion)

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Talking about the curriculum, during the starting of the college, basic subjects like maths, physics, communication skills and some related to the course are taught and then some of the experience is brought up in labs and workshops. With the time passing by, towards the end, the subjects become more course focussed. At times, it feels tiring but if the individual is determined, he/she can easily get through without any stress and worries while still having plenty time to spend with the friends and to have fun.

Placement Experience

4

There are a lot of job and placement opportunities. Many of the companies visit frequently and interview the students and select them on the basis of their needs and the skills and performance of the individuals. Companies like L&T, IBM, Amazon, Wipro, Vedanta etc. are very frequent here regarding to the placements. The average stipend for the students is around 4-5 lacs per annum which is a pretty good amount for starters.

College Events

4.5

There are two fests in our college. Hill'ffair(cultural) and NIMBUS(technical) The cultural festival is held in the odd semester and the technical in even semester. Hill'ffair is for three days where various artists are invited for their performances accompanied by the artists from our college and whole of the period is full of fun and joy. Whilst during the nimbus time, there is a showcase of the technology which is developed by the students of the college and some other tech events followed by vibrant musical nights by the music club of our college. Participation is open for other colleges also with some amount of registration fees and that's it. Have fun and enjoy the tech/cultural atmosphere around you.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is different for every category. It includes SC/ST, income groups etc. Fee per semester for a normal student is around 75,000 Rupees while for SC/ST and people who have income less than 1lac rupees per annum it is about 10,000 only. Fee for people with income up to 4-5lacs per year is 30,000rupees But in 4th year, fee for every student is the same around 45,000 rupees. For the hostels, fee is 25,000 rupees throughout every semester without any fee waivers.

Fees and Financial Aid

Various scholarships are available for economically poor groups offered by the college and in some cases, hostels also. These scholarships tend to pay the tuition fees and hostel fees also. If the student wants to get an education loan, then that is also considered either in the hostels or in academic fees.

Campus Life

4.5

Labs and workshops are no doubt well equipped. Campus is totally connected with wi-fi. Gender ratio is fair. Boys are in larger number as fewer girls go for engineering in our country. Girls and boys have separate hostels. Various other workshops etc. are regularly conducted about the tech and information and also entrepreneurship. Cultural societies have separate clubs for music, art and dance and other technical activities. Sports facilities are top notch. Huge playground with various areas defined for various games. Annual sports meet is held and students participate with great enthusiasm. Diversity is seen among the students as they belong to different religions and ethnicities and still living in harmony. And since the institution is and educational institution and has no such political groups, its not much affected by the politics.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

I live in the hostel and the one which i am in, its the newest here. It the the best hostel in the college as it is newly built. But despite of that other hostels are equally good. Till 3rd year, 3 people are in one room. In 4th year, everyone (almost) everyone has their separate rooms. There are plenty of rooms available so the college can surely never run out of accommodation. Hostels change every year. Every year has their separate hostels thus ensuring zero ragging. The fee for hostels is constant 25,000rupees through out the course without any waivers.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors and alumnis are really helpful as they help you get through the course in a better manner as they have the right amount of experience and guide you towards the right paths. They, by sharing their experiences, help the students to tackle problems related to the course and sometimes even mental stress that usually gets generated in the students' minds.

Admission

There is a test called JEE mains. It's an all India level entrance exam. In order to get admission in this college, you have to qualify the exam. I qualified this exam and hence on the basis of final merit, i got admission here.

Faculty

4.5

No doubt the faculty is well qualified as this institution is of national importance and is in the top 20 institutions for engineering in India. No wonder that why the institution has such a great reputation and faculty is top notch.

Students become eligible from 7th semester for campus placement but you can apply off-campus if you want. A lot of times off-campus placements are of better amount than on campus placements. Almost out of 400 students present in a year, 100 get very good on campus placements.(Almost above 10 lakhs) 100 get between 5-10 lakhs And rest ho for higher degrees although they get a placement of 4-5 lakhs
