Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is tailor made for developing an inclination in research. Labs are very rigorous and progressive. Exams are conducted to test your concept and not your ability to mug up things. Analytical and thinking out of the box skills are developed.
Placement Experience
Placement is decent. Bio pharma and life science based consultancy companies hire us. A good scope in Pre placement offers. Everything is open to you if you are interested and keen about it. M. E. students get a stipend of ? 13,400 per month.
College Events
BOSM - sports meet. OASIS - Cultural meet. APOGEE - Tech fest. Every fest is inter college fest and all IITS and renowned universities take part in it. Class work is suspended during fests. BITS has many clubs to take care of and organize all the fests.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is on a bit expensive side but you can avail scholarships based on your financial condition and academic performance. All amenities are provided in hostel. Food in the entire campus has very subsidized rates.
Fees and Financial Aid
SBI LOAN. Also merit-cum-means scholarship for people who are finding it difficult to afford the fees. But in the Pilani campus, only fees is the lumsum amount otherwise no major expenditure on per month basis.
Campus Life
All kinds of extra curricular activities are available in Student Activity Centre. Many clubs are there to engage students with their interests. Swimming pool and gym is available at minimum rates for semester. Yoga club is also functional.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels have beautiful rooms with balcony. Very greenery in front of hostel. Well ventilated and spacious rooms. Furniture is durable. Cleaning of room on your own. Bathrooms and toilets are nice and clean.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni relations cell is an active body which keeps alumni meeting twice an year. Department organises lectures and talks. Informal meets are organised. Career guidance is constantly offered by them. A strong network is established.
Admission
BITS HD exam and GATE. Through various iterations you get admission into one of three campuses in India and one in Dubai. Admission procedure is very feasible and friendly. Very cooperative staff. Huge campus.
Faculty
Best Faculty you can ever expect. All post doc in world class universities. Fine experienced faculties in research and teaching. Very friendly and always ready to help. Comes up with different ways to make the curriculum interesting.
