Review of STCET

Since i am from computer science background i love the course and it's curriculum. the exam consist of two internal exam followed by practical and theory papers. And so the exam are easy for below average student to pass.

Placement and job opportunity are not good because only two companies visted for placement and they were Infosys and cognizant and gave package of 4 lpa. No opportunities for higher package placement. Our college doesn't allow internship because according to college norms every student should have atleat 75%attendance in each subject and in every semester. Therefore no internship opportunity as well.

Fee structure is around 40000 per semester for each student of every branch. Special category students are taken around 22000 fee per semester. It is feasible for a middle class family for giving the fees and study.

No loan facility is provided by college. I personally have not taken any loan and there are no such facility which can be availed. Students can take education loan from bank and pay their fees. Finally their are no kinds of loan facility.

Interdepartment sports take place which include badminton, cricket, tennis, football and sports events like relay race hundred metres, two hundred metres, eight hundred metres. They are pretty good, gender ratio around 2:10 girls vs boys ie 1:5.

I have opted for pg. No hostel facility in our college. Students live in pg near the college in pg 2 person in one room and rent is around 2000 per person which doesn't include food. the og rooms are average provided with just one bed. Students cab carry the their own clothes and bed for their survival.

Alumni are the one the junior students can contact to and ask for any help since only two companies visit to our college most of the senior are doing job in that company and fortunately the junior again meet those senior in that company.

I got admission into this college through WEST BENGAL UNIVERSITY examination ENTRANCE EXAM and JOINT ENTRANCE EXAM (mains). Based on the rank list,each individual have to apply for counseling process for all the college in the university. based on the rank student will be allocated a branch and college. he/she has to go for the counselling process and confirm the seat.

Faculty member just guide the students on what to study and how to study the particular subject,give basic of each and every topic and at the end of the day students can learn easily through YouTube. Faculty member are not that interested in teaching the entire syllabus,they only guide students on how this topic should be master and obviously through practice.
