Remarks

Our college is a fully NAAC accredited engineering college. We have a very good campus that spans over a very large region. Mar Athanasius College of Engineering pioneered engineering education in central Kerala in 1961. Managed by Mar Athanasius College Association, Aided by the Government of Kerala, the college was first in Asia under Christian Management. The college is affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University. MACE, as it is popularly known, has grown by leaps and bounds since. It now has six full fledged departments

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is pretty much elaborate as well as focused on your chosen area. Exams and lab exams are also very frequent. You need to be ready always and keep consistency with your research and studies.

Placement Experience

4

Companies like IQVIS, TCS, Keyvalue are frequent placement providers of our college. Besides, the college has a training and placement cell to prep all students for interviews and ensure that a maximum number of students get placed. Internship is not provided by the college; the students have to find it themselves.

College Events

4.5

Our college tech fests and arts fest are pretty dynamic and have a long history. Our college annual tech fest named takshak provides a good platform for students to organize explore and participate in fun games workshops etc. Our annual arts fest Sanskriti is one of the biggest arts fest. It is a 3 day event with competitions, DJ nights, dance, music.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible if you get admission in merit quota. It's around 16k annually. However, the management quota is pretty expensive and around 10 lakh have to be deposited when you get admission.

Fees and Financial Aid

Many scholarships like egrantz are provided for students. There are special scholarships.Introduced MACE Alumni Scholarship fund.Introduced a new Merit cum need scholarship for two first year students (Rs.6000/ per annum per student by Kuwait chapter)Qatar chapter has been sponsoring the complete expense of 3 students.Text books given to needy students in each dept

Campus Life

4

Extracurricular activities like sports and clubs are very prominent in our college. We have clubs like fashion club, dance club, talent club, film club, music club etc. We have a basketball and volleyball team for both boys and girls. A football and cricket team for boys only. Students are not biased on basis of that gender race or religion here. The college has officially banned any political activities. Every class has an equal male female ratio except the classes of mechanical engineering.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Yes I have opted for college ladies hostel. It's run by a students union. We have good food and accommodation for about 4k students. The fee structure is very feasible. It's only about 3k monthly and the rate also varies according whether you stay and take food from mess. Many students however have to stay in other private hostels which are very expensive. Their monthly fee is around 5k and the food is very bad there. PGs are not a common phenomenon here.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni Association takes active interest in overall development of the college by issuing prizes, scholarships, and monetary assistance for renovation. Introduced MACE Alumni Scholarship fund. Introduced a new Merit cum need scholarship for two first year students (Rs.6000/ per annum per student by Kuwait chapter) Qatar chapter has been sponsoring the complete expense of 3 students. Text books given to needy students in each dept. Publishing Newsletters & Bulletins. Regular family get-togethers of alumni association. All the chapters had their annual get-together.

Admission

I had aspired to be an engineer. The most important thing about it is to achieve maximum exposure and knowledge in the IT area so that you can get a decent job.For that it is very necessary that you are graduated from a decent college with good reputation.Hence I choose this college which has a very good history and academic achievements. As for admission you have to crack a very tough entrance exam KEAM and compete among many.Lakhs of students attend engineering entrance exams in Kerala.

Faculty

3.5

We have very experienced and highly qualified faculty. But however the part you put in most important. Some subjects are self taught by students themselves because of lack of clarity received in classrooms.

Campus placements are highly volatile taking the stats from over the past three years there has been an up trend as well a down trend, I hope I will get placed through on campus interviews, the highest package of this year was for two graduates who got into IBM with 22 lakhs per aanum, there are few who didn't get into any of the companies while there were others who got int Amazon and other reputated companies, if I do not get into a reputed company through my college on campus placements the. I'll be aiming for higher educations most probably
