College Events
There are all kind of fest organised by college like technical, Sports, cultural etc. They are organised at big ziggle. last time salim sulaiman came at one of the fest 'SRIJAN'. PARAKRAM is sports fest. PRATIBIMB is Departmental fest and BASANT is Alumni fest. Srijan is one of the biggest fest of the college.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yeah, there are many scholarships provided to reserved class people as well as the meritorious a deserving candidates. students are also sent to foreign for their projects and internship. and the college provides all the facilities. The campus has outdoor and indoor facilities for sports like athletics, cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, tennis, badminton, squash and table tennis. Interested students are also trained in combat sports such as karate and boxing. Students choose between the National Cadet Corps (NCC), National Service Scheme (NSS), National Sports Organisation (NSO) and yoga for an extracurricular activity.
Campus Life
Campus life is awesome. The gender ratio is low and diversity is versatile, Students from all parts of India as well versatile culture is followed here and labs, sports, competitions all are organized by college and the students are active participants of all these activities besides academics. The ISM campus is surrounded by offices related to mining such as the Central Institute of Mining and Fuel Research, and the headquarters of DGMS and of Bharat Coking Coal Limited. The ISM campus comprises academic buildings, student hostels with 100% residential facilities for faculty, staff, and students. The Health Centre provides medical care to students, teachers, staff and their family members. ISM is home to the Geological Museum, the Seismic Observatory, a Data Processing Laboratory, the Long Wall Mine Gallery and the Remote Sensing Laboratory.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are very good and the fees are reasonable, the mess food is awesome. According to every people. Being a fully residential campus, ISM has 10 hostels - seven for boys and three for girls. All hostels have a mess, canteen, badminton courts, and common hall
Faculty
Faculties, as well as research labs, are very good. Faculties are very supportive.
