Remarks

One major drawback i felt when i came here was that the college does not provide hostel to everyone, only if you have good pointers then only you can live in college hostel otherwise you have to find hostels outside.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course is nice, if a person is not able to crack jee, ie for engineering then he or she can go for NIMCET and complete their MCA in top NITs you can stand a chance for top companies like Microsoft, Amazon etc. But you must work very hard. There will be many subjects in the course that is not very important for the placements and some will be important, you must read those stuffs that are important for placements all by yourself, participate in contests online on different coding platforms, practice a lot of coding, data structure etc.

Placement Experience

2.5

yes the college provide a lot of opportunities for placements and internship, a lot of company visited the college for MCA like IBM, ORACLE, DELLOITE, INFOSYS etc you can be able to sit in 12-15 companies if you are an MCA student at NIT Raipur but there are a lot of opportunities for btech students, so you kist be prepared that very less companies are going to visit for MCA. That too if you qualify their eligibility criteria, that is generally throughout 60% then only you can give exams else you will not get more than 2-3 opportunity. So you have to work really hard.

College Events

3

There are a lot of events that happens in the college every year, there are 3 major fests, one of them is technical fest where you can showcase your technical talents, one is a cultural fest and one is for sports. They are AAVARTAN, ECLECTICA, and SAMAR. there are many more events like SHRUTI- musical night, RANGMANCH- dramatics and many more. The attractions of these events are really cool. Like when i attended a concert by "salim-sulaiman" On that has MJ5, another concert by mohammad Irfan and there are a lot more.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It id around 4-5 lakhs for entire 3 year course. Excluding the hostel charges. I guess it is a bit expensive being a government college. Facilities are ok ok, it is a bit expensive but if u study well you can get a good package. So if u are a good student i guess it is worth the price.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes you can avail scholarship either from your state government or national. Not both. You can get good amount of fee if you fill the form on time and fulfill all the requirements. But there is no scholarship for general students.

Campus Life

3.5

Yes there are many sports event, there is a 4 day event called samar where you can showcase your talents in sports. Not just this you can get a number of opportunities to participate in inter nit competition.

Hostel Facilities

1

There are 3 hostel for girls, hostel E, hostel G and hostel PG. hostel PG is the worst among all, i liked hostel E it is clean and hygienic. Hostel G washrooms are Literally filthy. Pg hostel is not even a hostel it is like small house that is to be alloted to a faculty but is alloted to students. There is no MESS. Food comes from different hostel you have to eat at your own room.

Alumni/Alumna

There is no network with the alumni or senior specially in MCA department, Head of tye department has strictly forbidden any contact with seniors. If you take admission here you have prepare everything all by your self.

Admission

First of all a person who wants to take admission in nit in MCA, have to appear an entrance exam called NIMCET, the question is of 120 questions all together of 1000 marks, if a person is able to get 400-700 marks he or she can got to top 5 NITs. After the results you will have to choose which college you want to choose and based on your rank you will be alloted a college and if there is any vacant seats available in any nit, they announce a date for spot round admission and you can go, if your rank is better than other candidates you can get selected, and one most important thing, you must have 60% in graduation that too you must have done bca or bsc, including maths or statistics as one of your subjects in your graduation.

Faculty

4

Faculties are really talented and will help you out in the course but they are not responsible for your placements, they are just responsible for the course. They will provide you almost everything that is related to your course, obviously there might be some faculties who do not teach that much but you dont need to worry about the marks, you
