Remarks

The best part of our college was the exposure we got in all subjects by the teachers. College management was fair. Lacking in hostel facilities. Advancement in technology used for teaching is need of the hour and it makes lectures easy to understand and i

Entrance Preview

I grew up dreaming to be a doctor. My childhood fantasy started shaping into genuine interest as I started reading biology from all the books I could lay my hands on as a school kid. Soon time flew and I sat for pre medical entrance examination in 2008 with all the preparation and determination to step into field I desired to make my passion. My heart broke when my aim missed AIIMS, and then again when I didn't qualify for colleges in my home town. God opened doors for me when I got selected in consortium for medical and engineering entrance examinations Karnataka (COMEDK). During the counselling I was offered place at JSS Medical Colleges, Mysore, one of the reputed private college in Karnataka.

Internships Opportunities

Internship at a medical school is our first actual interaction with the patients . Its the first time we get to do things what we have been observing till now. We started to learn the actual difficulties faced in hospitals. Learning to work for long duty schedules, getting accustomed to hap hazard meal times and working hours. We were given sum of rs 8000/- during internship.

Placement Experience

4

It is not like how it is for engineering colleges, at medical colleges. No hospitals come to pick up to offer jobs or hefty packages. We need to prove ourselves yet again at post graduate entrance examinations. We are expected to promptly answer 300 multiple choice based questions in 3 hours at the end of which our destiny is decided. I sat for my post-graduation exams in 2014. I secured an all India rank of 3849 general category in aipgmee and qualified for MS otorhinolaryngology at government college in my first attempt, I get 42,000/- per month as a stipend. I truly believe the credit to lie with the teachers of my college. I now aspire to become a head and neck surgeon post MS.

College Events

3.5

Every year we had one sports meet and one cultural fest at our college level. At the sports meet we had basketball, cricket, football, badminton, throw ball, volley ball, races etc. organized for boys and girls. At the cultural fest we had theme based event including dancing, singing, dramatics, literary, arts and fun events. We were encouraged to participate in district, state and national level sports and cultural events .We had academic CMEs, quizzes every now and then in different departments.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is expensive. It pinched my heart when I thought of 3.25 lacs per annum being paid by my middle class family to full fill my dreams. It is not every body's cup of tea of pay that much .

Fees and Financial Aid

No scholarship or loan facility is offered at our college. We did not have privilege of these, ours being a private hospital.

Alumni/Alumna

We had friendly relative with our seniors. They were always there to guide and help us. Our college has an alumni society has its meeting every year. We have face book group which keeps us updated and a alumni website for keeping everybody informed about its meetings.

Exam Structure

Each year we have to face three internal assessments including theory and practical. At least 33% marks are needed to qualify for final university examinations where at least 50% is to be scored separately in theory and practical to qualify a pass.

Faculty

4.5

Our faculty could not have been better. I owe my entire knowledge to them. Had it not been for them I would not be in my place today. I deeply respect each and every teacher of mine for making my four and a half years so enriching and so inspiring, that I

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is as per RGUHS Banglore which adequately prepared students for real world experience. The teaching methods need to be more competitive with case study of patients. The internal exams are conducted thrice in a year giving exposure to students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Same curriculum as the NMC is followed . In the beginning ears there wont be much exposure clinically like any other hospitals later on in 3rd amd 4th year there is more clinical exposure and patient interaction. According to me the exam level of 1st year is a bit tough as it is a changing phase from 12th to college and everything is new later on we get adjusted and find it easy and will understand how to phase the exam and how it is different from the previous exams of 11th or 12th . Only one exam will be for a academic year which includes the whole syllabus of that year

MBBS- passion and internal will power plays an important role in choosing this course. PASSION- because it is a noble job to do and satisfaction in this course is unmatchable because of patients interaction.
