Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is pretty good and designed in order to emphasise on the need of improving the deteriorating environmental status. Course is spread over a span of three years and covers all the aspects of environmental concerns.
Placement Experience
FRI has an active placement cell, which is responsible for maintaining close relationship with organisations operating in the forestry sector. Companies and many government organisations recruit students for the profiles like Forest inspector, food inspector, PDS, etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
My annual M. Sc. fee was around 62,000 INR. Fee was very feasible. Accommodation facilities are also available at pretty budget-friendly rates. Quality of education imparted to the students is exceptional. That's one of the reasons why the entrance exam was so tough.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are provided by the institute for both boys and girls and the hostel charges are pretty decent. In addition to that, the hostel rooms are very spacious and had very beautiful infrastructure. All environment friendly products are used here.
Admission
I appeared for the entrance exam conducted by the FRI itself. I scored good marks to get into the Environmental Management but not good enough to get to the Forestry department. Next step was the counselling process conducted by for the Institute and post that I was enrolled in the college.
Faculty
Faculty is very qualified and all of them are phd holders. They were very helpful and had supportive nature. Practical sessions were most informative and fun part of our course. Teaching was not only limited to the academic part but we were made aware and cautious about all the environmental concerns.
