Remarks

Politics is a little bit negative issue in the college reducing the number of classes of attendance of students. It is considered as the main negative remark about CUSAT. If there was no party politics,CUSAT would have become par/higher than the level of NIT&IIT by now.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The Course Curriculum is one of the best in India. It is equally divided across all semesters and the involvement of students to practical applications gradually increases with the number of semesters. The Exam structure is: Two internal exams and one University semester exam for a subject in a semester.

Placement Experience

4

It is said that the best companies come for placements & provide job opportunities at the best universities. CUSAT is one of the most recognised universities with a huge number of alumni in every BTech sector and thus, placements and job opportunities are high in CUSAT. College does not provide internship.

College Events

4.5

Dhishna, the annual tech-fest, organised by the student body of SOE, CUSAT witnesses a massive spectatorship from around and outside Kerala. An extraordinary amalgamation of technical and cultural aspects of engineering are brought to life each year by our tech-fest.From technical events to DJ nights,it touches every part of the mind of a students life.It is considered as one of the best techfests in South India. Hostel fests, etc

Fee Structure And Facilities

There are state merits & national merits for CUSAT students along with NRI's. Fee structure varies in each merit but it's very feasible provided the facilities and faculties by the University. Also, there are scholarship and loan facilities for SC/ST/OBC students making them more feasible to the fee structure.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are good scholarships for OBC/SC/ST students. It takes a little time to deposit onto our bank account. The students should visit the official CUSAT website daily to know if any new scholarship/loan facility has been initiated and proceed as instructed in the website.

Campus Life

4

The extracurricular activities, labs and sports play a major role in shaping the nature of students.Intercollege and other sports competitions are also held in the calendar year. The best students are given awards and recognitions for their hard work.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes,the alumni network and senior students are totally helpful and guides us what to do in the upcoming semesters. The alumni network is so vast that it itself shows the remarkable number of graduates who have graduated from CUSAT and working in muliti-national companies.

Admission

There would be a CAT exam in which the students with the highest rank can select their respective dream branch in their allotment option and gets allotted to their most favoured subject based on their rank.

Faculty

4.5

Faculty members have real depth of knowledge in their core fields, not hesistant in telling the doubts of students and are really cooperative and friendly. The classrooms and laboratories are fixed with the latest technological equipments to make the students more easy to.learn and understanding.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
