Remarks

PICT is a pretty good college and it depends upon the students to use their time wisely and create a future for themselves.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curiculum is outdated as PICT comes under SPPU( savitribai phule Pune university) which has not updated its syllabus since the last 25 years. SME, ( systems in mechanical engineering) a subject in the 1st year portion, is particularly out of date.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very affordable.the fee structure is around 1.2 to 1.3 lakhs for general,for OBC it's around 56 but first they have pay full amount of 1.2 or 1.3 and they get scholarship of about 46k after filling the form and if they are eligible. For S.C students it's around 3k and for S.T it's around 12 k.

Fees and Financial Aid

PICT is a private unaided government and does not offer any scholarship to students that I know of. However PICT does offer fee reduction scholarships to ten to fifteen meritorious students from each year.

Campus Life

PICT has limited space and little sports facilities. Facilities available to the students for free are Gym, Basketball court, TT Labs are highly equipped with the latest technology, Wi-Fi is available in college premises.

Hostel Facilities

Both boys and girls hostels are available in Pune Institute of Computer Technology. Girls hostel is a new posche building and the boys hostel is an old building. The college also has its own dining hall and the quality of mess outside college premises is good.

External Expense: Rs.10000 - Rs.15000

Alumni/Alumna

I am myself exploring the college and feel that the college is pretty good( if u leave out the fact that profs are strict with attendance and submissions). The students are all good and develop healthy competition, which is main reason behind whatever fame and reputation PICT.

Admission

Admission in PICT is conducted on the rank list of MH- CET, the entrance exam for Maharashtra state colleges. 15% seats are reserved for students from all over India through the JEE-MAIN. I got admission through cet.

DY Patil college is best for placement and coding environment

Placement Experience:

The placement is good in Y Patil College. Many companies are come for hiring a student. Most of students are placed in fourth year from fourth year. The companies are started to come in campus and higher students. Also, in a third year, Student want to get internship in any companies from campus and from outside of the campus internship is compulsory in third year last semester The company are come in my college are Amazon Google infosys Microsoft WIpro and other companies hire students The highest package of last year of AI and DS department is a 42 lakh higher by Amazon is the highest package of the last year placement. Also, the average packages are six lakh. The percentage of getting Student place in companies are nearly 92%

Placement eligibility starts from the 7th semester. Placement Experience:

We have a great Training and placement cell , they first help for inturnship in 3rd and 4th year and also invites top componies for placements in our collage. 6th or 7th sem students are eligible for placements. 80% studnets among the eligible get placed. I will try to get a dencnt job too.

From the 7th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placement drive. Companies that often visit campus for placement include ONGC, GAIL, IGL, IOCL, NRL, SAIL, Hindalco, Carin oil and gas, Reliance, Vedanta, Tata Power, Nyara, Tata projects and many more oil and gas industries, metal industries. The highest package: is 24 lpa ( given by ONGC) and the average package: is 13 lpa for Fire and safety profiles. Usually, all students get placed in the placement drive. I will do the job in the company I got placed in.

An Honest review of PICT

I applied and got admitted into Vishwakarma Institute of Technology - B.Tech in Computer Science. I chose PICT over VIT because of many factors : placements and internship opportunities, coding culture, campus life and overall studies. PICT is better in almost every aspect than VIT except some college life and syllabus strictness. Yes, I applied to COEP and VJTI but didn't get expected branch due to less marks in my JEE Mains. I also got rejected by IIST, IITs, RGIPT, BITS because I got less than 75% in my boards which didn't satisfy the eligibility criteria. I got into PICT by JEE Mains. The last cutoff for JEE Mains is 97.5 %ile to get ENTC in PICT. You require 99%ile+ in MHT-CET to get into PICT....Read More
