A journey worth sharing

This college imparts education for daily life and helps us learn more about life and how people work. They prepare us for the lesser known world out there where we have to go out and strive to earn a living for us.

We are taught every little practical thing that is necessary in day to day life to solving complex accountancy problems and making international dishes that people crave for. The exam structure: Mid terms on 50 marks. Term end exams on 100 marks. 30% of what you get in the mid terms is considered and 70% of what you score in the term end exams. Breakage of the 30% is 25%+5%. 25% is purely on the marks obtained and 5% is for the attendance maintained in college.

100% guaranteed placement. Job opportunities are even better because they offer campus placements availing which, the students are recruited at managerial levels. My college offers internship. Stipends depend on the hotel we are going to train from. Differs from property to property.

Inter college fests. Garba night. Diwali. Holi. Christmas. Foundation day. Prom nights. High tea. Theme lunch. Gala dinner. Fresher's day are some of the extremely participative events that are celebrated in my college.

Slightly expensive for middle class families considering the fact that the college is a government undertaking. The tourism ministry department of the government of India takes responsibility for it.

I certainly am not aware of the fact that whether my college offers any good scholarship worth mentioning or any loan facility offered by my college as I have come here totally based on my merit and have availed nothing else except the education they provide.

There are extracurricular activities like Swatchch Bhaarat Abhiyaan or Cleanliness week where we go out in groups for a week and clean different locations in the city and preach about cleanliness and how important it is. Sports week is also held.

The alumni and senior students have all been placed in good hotels and they are doing well. They least they can do for us is be helpful to us in whatever way they can. Actually they do much more than that even financially.

I had to appear for an All India Joint Entrance Exam for Hotel Management. My AIR was 1984 in NCHMCT JEE and I was allotted this college in the first round. Three rounds are conducted and based on your rank, the National Council allots you a college matching your credibility. Better the rank, better the college.

Amazing faculty members with a lot of practical and theoretical knowledge. They teach us in detail and make us profoundly knowledgeable hoteliers in the future years. They also help with different kinds of situations that aren't academic but are somehow related to academics.
