Remarks

Positive- many, cannot list all of them. Few of them include - -good exposure to patients in internship. -nice exposure in curricular and extracurricular activities like sports. -greenery around the campus -good infrastructure Negative remarks -very hot climate -water related problems in the premises -lack of cafeteria around the campus

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

MBBS course is pretty tough, especially the first year as you are totally new to the curriculum. There are no semester wise exams, there will four main/university exams at the end of each year. Min 50% marks is required to pass in each exam(both in theory and practical)

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements and job opportunities are good. Yes, there is compulsory one year rotatory internship for students who complete their course from the college. The experience is simply incomparable as you get to experience a variety of patients from all part of the surrounding districts as it is the only tertiary District hospital available. In short you will the maximum in your internship and develop many skills. Although a little hectic, but the pain is worth to suffer for. Yes, we do get a stipend of Rs. 20,000/-

College Events

3.5

Many events celebrated in a year. Ganesha chaturthi- very grandly celebrated in our college. Ethnic day. College day- another grand event where prizes are distributed to all the winners during the cultural and sports event held annually. teachers day, Independence Day and inter zonal sports meet are other events held every year

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is relatively feasible as it is a government college. The government college fee is approximately Rs. 50,000/- per year. Earlier it was even more less, only Rs. 14,000/- but recently there has been a hike in the fee from the state govt.

Fees and Financial Aid

Since I was a General Merit student and had not scored great marks in my 12th, I wasn't getting any scholarships. But many people get scholarships based on category and merit. This scholarship is provided by state govt and MHRD. As far as loan facility is concerned, I don't have much idea about it.

Campus Life

4

Extracurricular activities are good as there are variety of activities to choose for. As mentioned earlier, cultural, literary and sports events are held annually where students get to showcase their talents and win prizes. The labs are quite clean and well maintained and contains all essential specimens and structures. I very big playground for cricket and football, volleyball court and table tennis courts available.

Alumni/Alumna

We have a very strong alumni network and our seniors are our mentors in any phase of our life. Our seniors are flourishing in various fields, like specialists, super specialists in various branches of medicine. Some also serving the nation by joining the most dignified Armed Forces, Indian Air Force and Indian Navy.

Admission

There will be a standard all India entrance exam known as NEET after 12th. Once you qualify in this exam you get two ranks, one all India rank and one state rank. You can choose your seat from any of these two ranks if you're eligible for it based on your rank in the exam.

Faculty

3.5

the faculty of my college was pretty good. Especially the clinical side faculty, they were well experienced and knowledgeable. They expertise of their field and have amazing teaching skills. They also encourage us to participate in various conferences and fests.

Course Curriculum Overview:

curriculum is designed to be highly relevant and comprehensive for modern medical practice.Early Clinical Exposure is One of the strongest aspects of the curriculum is introducing students to patients in their very second year. The final year of the curriculum—the Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) is effective it prepares students for the high-pressure environment of Indian healthcare, making them very capable of handling emergencies and outpatient departments (OPD ). Students feel that lectures are still too focused on passive PowerPoint presentations.Rigorous schedule, integrating "Life Skills" or "Stress Management" modules more formally into the foundation course would be helpful. The university exams (RGUHS) are generally fair but require a very high level of descriptive writing and practical precision.
