GCEK is definitely a good choice. As it is a government autonomous institute it is highly reputed. Placementa are good. Campus is superb. College is approved under TEQUIP program which is funding under world bank's initiative.

GCEK is an autonomous institute of government of Maharashtra. Hence it is independent to design curriculum. IT course is more advanced. IT syllabus is almost same as CSE syllabus. Exam pattern has 2 Class Tests and 1 End Semester Exam. 100 marks are opted for each subject.

Placements are good. Top recruiter is TCS. Placements are high for IT branch. Capgemini, Wipro, FIAT, Whirlpool, Worley are the major companies visit for campus placements. Many other companies also visit and have good communication with college.

GCEK is highly concerned about the extra curricular activities in college. Aavishkar is the biggest event organisd. It is oldest event and has a reputation in Maharashtra region. Also TEDx which is an independently organised TED event is also organised by students.

Fees for regular students is 84000. Fee structure is feasible. Through scholarship form Maharashtra Government we can we 50% wavier in fee. Fee is not the big issue because college is spending a large amount of money on students.

Maharashtra government offers scholarship called MahaDBT is the major scholarship offered for students. MahaDBT is based on income. Also Seimens Pvt.Ltd.and Cummins Pvt. Ltd also provide scholarship along with total fee wavier, monthly expenses and a laptop. These are based on scholarship test followed by interview.

There's a lot of extra curricular activities in college. Events such as Aavishkar, TEDx organisd by students. Industry visit to prominent industries in India is provided free of cost. Also allowances for workshops, eventa, conferences is also provided by college. For the sport GCEK has big ground also a Gymkhana. Labs are highly equiped having latest AR, VR, 3D printing machine and much more.

Yes. Hostel is good. Fees are very less. Its only 7000. Mess is good. Infrastructure and facilities are well maintained. WiFi, laundry, reading room, etc. are the facilities provided. Each room has 3 students. Hostel is clean.

Alumni network is good. College is developing alumni network by organising alumni meet, guest lectures of alumni. Mentorship is also provided by alumni through college. Alumni are always in touch with students about the current and trending requirements for the placement.

In Maharashtra there is MHTCET is the only way of getting admission into Government College. MHTCET has objective questions based on 12th board syllabus. A common merit list called State Merit List is based on marks, further ranking is based on merit list. Top 3000-4000 students out of around 2 lakh students are selected for government college.

Faculties are highly qualified professionals. Regular lecture, guest lectures, video tutorials are provided by faculty. Faculties help in innovative projects and ideas which is a great experience. They are always supported for doing new things.
