Remarks

The best Positiveness is the liberal environment. If you want to study you can and if you want to enjoy it you can. There are no strict rules and there is no bad politics between staff and students. The environment is highly political and student election is very seriously conducted. Struggles and fights are common.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is Excellent and advanced. The exam structure was also good during my period. It was like enough for an engineering graduate student to enhance his/her knowledge. All subjects were relevant and updated at least 3 years to date.

Placement Experience

1.5

Only a few companies do visit for placement drives during my period. There is no internship opportunity in the college. The college has a very good library and it has India's biggest library. The campus is very good.

College Events

5

Every year departmental fests are being conducted. It includes both technical and art competitions. Moreover, the annual sports meet and art meet are celebrated. Onam festival is celebrated grandly. Union day and college day are also there.

Fee Structure And Facilities

During our period it was a differential Fee structure. Half of the students are from the merit list directly. They have course fees fixed by the Kerala govt time to time. Rest having Management fees though appointed from Merit list separately for the college. Anyway, the fees are feasible.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no scholarship/ loan facility offered by the college. Students can apply for education loans from nationalized banks and college will provide them with necessary documents. The college has NAAC accreditation and is affiliated with Calicut University.

Campus Life

1.5

It has one of the biggest college grounds in association with the University. The park of the University is a good recreation point. College and University environments were so liberal that once you study there you won't forget it in your lifetime.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The Hostel fee was 99 rupees during my period. Including electricity bill and room rent. The mess was separately maintained by the students' union. Mess bill comes around 3000 per month. The hostel has big rooms.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni are not at all active in the college. But when you find an ex-CUIETian anywhere you will get good support. All students maintain good relationships within and outside the batch. Everyone is so supportive.

Admission

Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination. You have to write an entrance exam conducted by the Kerala govt. Now it has become common all India. Earlier it was affiliated with Calicut University. Now Kerala Technical University.

Faculty

2.5

Not up to the mark. Most of them are temporary. Only a few are permanent. But all are very co-operative and helpful in pursuing our knowledge. Though not so reliable in the case of academic standards, most of them are friendly.

Remarks:

I think this college is best for someone who want best cgpa and not for someone who wants a job immediately after the course. This college has some best infrastructures and faculties but the place where college is situated is very rural. For someone who wants a job after their studies should not take admission in this kind of place as a matter of fact that it will be difficult for many recruiting companies to get in touch with this college.
