Review of Pavanatma College idukki

The college is situated in a village in the district of Idukki. Long distance transportation is available from cheruthoni and adimaly. There are only few buses to other district from murickasery but they are available from cheruthoni and adimaly. There are frequent buses to cheruthony and Adimaly from murickasery.

The course covers almost all areas of Chemistry. There are 4 semesters and 3 semesters have 4 papers and the last semester have 3 elective papers. The are practical exams in 2nd and 4th semester. Examination pattern follows grading system.

There is no campus recruitment in our college. But it provides guidelines for NET exam. It also provides an opportunity for eligible students to work as guest lecturer after the completion of the course.

Common events celebrated are college day, sports day, Union inauguration, Christmas, Onam celebration Arts fest, Sports fest etc. Along with these events certain events like sargolsav conducted by the department of malayalam, chemie festia by the department of Chemistry etc are also celebrated.

Fees structure is feasible and is according to the guidelines provided by the Mahatma Gandhi University. Self financing courses have fees structure according to the course but affordable fees for these courses make them applicable for all kinds of students.

Loan facility is available and the students can apply for the loan i nearby banks. Scholarships are available both from government and private firms. It provides all necessary benefits from these scholarships.

There are more than 4 labs like 2 chemistry labs, one petrochemical lab, a physics lab and a computer lab. Extra curricular activities include games like basketball, cricket, tennis, badminton, etc. National powerlifting championship 2019 was held at our college.

There are 2 hostels under the college. Both of these hostels are for women. Hostel facility for men is not provided by the college but they can stay as paying guests in nearby places and alot of such PGs are available. Other than the 2 hostels for women provided by the college, there is another hostel run by the sisters of St Marthas.

Senior students provide alot of Help. The alumni network is ready to provide everything required for the students and welfare of our college. Most of the students passing out has a chance to work as guest lecturer so they provide a lot of good effort for the wellbeing of students.

Admission procedure is based on MG university guidelines. There are 24 seats out of which 13 seats are allocated by the Mahatma Gandhi University Common admission process. Rest of the seats are management quota.

Faculty in Pavanatma college are hard working. They provide all the guidelines for the students and is student friendly. They are ready to help students both for scholastic and extra scholastic activities.
