College is really really good. My college experience was wonderful. The moments that college gifted me was unforgettable. Friendly atmosphere, caring faculty and loving friends made CEC mind blowing.

Normally you won't get an internship from the college. You have to find them. In the syllabus it is a must to have internship. In most of the internship you find you have to pay them. The college have training and placement cell. There you can get jobs easily

College Events

In CEC you will get a lots of events to make your college life unforgettable. The college celebrates all festivals such as onam, Christmas etc. There are several technical and non technical events in college such as campion the football competition and magnum , the technical fest

Fee Structure And Facilities

The college is owned by the government. So you will have to pay a less amount of fee. For students who finds admission in merit seats it will below 15k for a year. For NRI students it will be little high. The only thing is you have to get good score in entrance exam

You will get student loan from all major banks. There are also some scholarships available in the college for the students have good marks. You will get student loan easily since the college is reputed one

There are good. You will get all facilities in the college. The labs are really good. You can you use your lab any time. They computer labs are provided with high speed internet connection. The extra curriculam are really good. You will have arts fest and sports fest in college

College has an active alumni association. All pass out students are part of alumni association.The alumni will help you in finding jobs. The also support in our needs. The alumni association is best in my point of view

Through applying online in tbe website of higher education. We can apply for several colleges in one portal. After i got admission online i reached college and took admission. I had to pay college parents teachers association fund and some other fees there

Faculty

Very good and friendly.They cover all syllabus prescribed by the university. The guest lecturers behave like friends. You will get a free atmosphere in college. They will help you in co-curricular activities.You will get the best lecturers there

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.

Firstly I had applied for numerous colleges ranking from college of engineering Trivandrum to Rajahiri college, even though my KEAM rank was around 13k I did not have the scope of getting into ourely government colleges, then was the possibility of going into IHRD colleges and least ranked government colleges and the private colleges, but studying for 12 years in a private college made me think otherwise, then I had the option of the IHRD and least cutoff ranked government colleges, during my first allotment I got intro this college but under electronics department later during the second allotment it changed to computer science department and same suring the third allotment, this college is about two hours away from my hometown, and reachable by train, the other factors were this college was highly recommended by my cousin aunt who is a professor in model engineering college Thrikkakara....Read More
