Remarks

The college has a large area which provides a lot of campus space. This college has a great college life experience and also provides good social life. The college has campus politics and elections to elect the college union and to conduct activities. The heat is a bit high during summer and the location is slightly remote.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Curriculum is as per the Kerala Technological University or Kalam Technological University (KTU) which sets the course curriculum, syllabus and exam structure. The curriculum has been newly revised and now has a more student friendly structure.

Placement Experience

4.5

The college has great placement opportunities for all the branches of engineering being taught here. Major companies like Infosys, TCS and so on come for campus placement here which makes it easy for students to get jobs. Also, good placements annually shows the college's success in accumulating good job opportunities.

College Events

4.5

The various events held annually in my college are 1. Rhythm- the techno cultural fest of our college is an intercollege event on a national level. The event usually lasts about 4-5 days and includes various programs and provides a lot of opportunities. 2. Beatz- college union inauguration and celebration 3. Sports meet 4. Individual fests of each department, for computer science, it is Teranis, the CS fest.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible as the college is a government of Kerala undertaking. For merit students, the fees is only ?35,000 per annum and for management students the fee is ?65,000 per annum. The merit and management seats depend on the rank you obtain.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college provides a scholarship in the form of reduced fees for the top three rank holders of each class in each department. The top three rank holders only have to pay a fee of ?1000 per annum. Also various government and non-government scholarships like MOMO is also available.

Campus Life

3.5

The college has a good enough lab facility for all branches. The computer science department has a central computing centre for lab activities. Sports is well supported and the college team stands in the top positions in each zone event. Extracurricular activities like arts and cultural events are also well promoted.

Hostel Facilities

4

The college provides 4 seperate hostels for boys for each individual year of the 4 year course. The hostel has a medium quality infrastructure and has adequate facilities. The students themself form a mess committee to manage the hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is well connected and wide spread. The seniors are very friendly and ragging issues are not seen here. The seniors are helpful to the juniors and are a great support. The alumni association raises funds and have contributed a lot to the college.

Admission

Write the Kerala engineering entrance, KEAM and score well. Then after the rank list is prepared, there is allotment by Commisioner of Entrance Examination, CEE. This is a 3 phase allotment system where we place our required colleges in the prefered order. I was alloted a seat to this college through this system. Also, spot admission facility is available.

Faculty

4

The faculty of the college is quite supportive for both academic and co-curricular activities. The faculty is built of well qualified, educated and dedicated staff members. They play a major part in the smooth sailing of the instituition events and functioning. There are a few exceptions as always.
