The college is a good place , with good ambience and experienced faculties. The only negative about the college is the lacking of a good laboratory ,which is also managed with the guidance of faculty.
Course Curriculum Overview
M.Sc Biitechnology offered in Jains is a new experience to all the students seeking a touch of experienced lecturers and theoretical knowledge in the field of Biotechnology. The practical aspects of the course and comparitively not best but ,is promising conaidering the lecturers who train the students
Placement Experience
The placements that they offer is promising as , a major part of the alumni have received placements from good companies in the field.The placement criteria is simple, score 60% to appear for the interviews.
College Events
The events celebrated here include the traditional and regional festivites, which include all the major festivities like Onam, Dusshera, Karnataka Rajyotsava etc. The other celebrations include the culural fest,College day, traditional day etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is a bit expensive for the course as i feel. With any scholarship , it is manageble for anyone.Or with a bank loan.But there are considerations for SC/ST categories i n fees and examination fee.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is no Loans offered by the college as of now.College doesnt provide any scholarship,but the management is planning of providing students with an opportunity to receive scholarship,on rhe basis of merit system
Campus Life
The labs at the college is not top class, but the facility is not that bad, with the guidance of experinced faculty it is easily managable.The resources are to be used judicially, and the lab attenders are friendly.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network and the seniors are helping.Especially the seniors help a lot with the syllabus and the project workSeniors here are extremely helpful in giving the juniors guidance in completing seminars and provides us with previous years question papers and notes.
Admission
I first heard of Jain University through my friend ,who was admitted by an entrance exam. So he topd me to apply for the course ,which I did and got the hall ticket via mail. Then i had to go to Banglore where the entrance exam was conducted.
Faculty
The faculty at Jain university school for sciences is friendly and approachable especially to students feom other parts of the country or from other parts of the world.They train the students to be experts in the field of Biotechnology.
