My college experience

Overall I'm very much satisfied with my college life and find myself lucky to have a college like this and the faculty that has taught me. Especially our head of department is a very kind person and takes extra special care of the students.

Our course on Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is composed of 6 semesters. Number of subjects varies in every semester. In each semester we go through, 2 internal test, 1 internal viva, 1 external viva and lab/ workshop experiments.

Placements provided by our college is better than other colleges in my location. Our College also provides internship. Me and my friends also completed internship of 1 month in the Eastern Railways. I have been placed in Asahi India Glass Ltd. And I receive a stipend of Rs.12000 per month.

A lot of events and functions are held in our college annually. A management fair is organised in the very beginning of the year for all the students. Then a Tech fest is also organised specially for the students of technical fields. Annual programme, sports etc are also organised.

The fee structure of our college is neither too expensive nor too feasible. Fees is to be paid in a time span of 3 or 4 years. For diploma in mechanical the total course fee us Rs. 1,40,000. And for b.tech it is rs. 3,50,000. Scholarship is also.provided to bright students

Scholarships by our college is provided to a lot of who are good in studies. Scholarships are provided to the students who are of backward castes. And the students who are unable to pay the fees in given time, our colleges also sanctions a loan for them.

Annual Sports is held by our college every year during the winter season. Various kinds of sports are played and competitions are performed. Except this a Intracollege Yearly Football & Cricket tournament is also held. Our college also participates in intercollege cricket and football championships.

Our college has a good alumni network and they are in proper contact with them. Alumnis are invited to the college for functions or events. They are also been rewarded for achieving great heights and encouraging other students.

I had to qualify in an entrance exam called JEXPO (Joint Entance Examination for Polytechnique) then based on my rank I selected this college and the by counselling they selected me and I took admission in the college.

The faculty of our college is very helpful and kind. They provide us with all the help we require to complete the given syllabus in time. Specially our Head of Department takes special care of the quality of education provided to each student.
