Remarks

The college carries out various extra curricular tasks and fun events which helps students to make new friends and be social with more people. The negative remark is only our Final Year students get holidays between exams and rest have to give continuous exams.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course and curriculum are very important part of our academic life. We used to follow the Mumbai University portion until 2 years back but then we got the autonomy status and our portion was enhanced according to the daily requirements of the industry and for the betterment of our students. The exam structure is 60:40 pattern. 40 marks internals and 60 marks written.

Placement Experience

4.5

There is a Career Guidance and Placement Cell which helps the students to guide them regarding their future plans like what after post graduation and how to achieve it. The college has various job fairs in college premises at different times of the year which helps students get a job.

College Events

3.5

We have Freshers as the first most event of our college where new students come and enjoy, celebrate, be social with others and make new friends. We have Ruia Rose Day which is like a very very important event as this isn't a Rose Day as it goes by name but this event holds a social issue abd it's awareness as the most important virtue. We have our cultural fest that is Utsav Aarohan in which we have Colosseum that is the sports day. We have Sparsh which is another fund raiser for some NGO and The last is the DJ night and rock band events which keep on changing and last year we had the best one that is the Silent DJ where everyone danced wearing headphones.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure being an aided college is feasible but it has gradually increased very much since the last year and it has almost doubled for some courses like mine. Mine is an unaided course but even the aided courses have had an increase in fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are different scholarship and freeships available from the college. Some of them are based on income certificates of parents and some of them are caste basis. If the annual income of household is lower than some amount then you can apply for the freeships or scholarship that is available. Or if you belong to SC or ST caste then you might get a decrease in fees through scholarship or freeships. I myself have not been considered for any kind if freeships or scholarship.

Campus Life

4.5

The extra curricular activities are very much popular and well known. Students from other colleges have also been coming and attending our events and sports day. Students participate in various events such as cricket, badminton, tug of war, etc. Labs are well equipped and are very clean. The labs have everything that is required for the course.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network of our college is very strong. We have so many good alumnus and they are very successful in life. All the alumni are very helpful and down to earth. Even the seniors are very helpful for our exams and projects.

Admission

I was an inhouse student as I was stuyin Ramnivas Ruia Junior College but my course didn't include preference for inhouse applicants, so I had to fill the online form on college website then fill the physical form and keep it with myself until my name was in the merit list. My name was there in the third merit list and then I went and gave my physical form and important documents and paid fees to take admission.

Faculty

4

The college faculty is good and nice. The faculty is well aware of the teaching patterns and tricks which help the students very much. The teachers put in a lot of effort in every subject so that the students should excel and be industry ready.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Parricularly the modules which focused on animal science & botany, the curriculum was built to learn from basics to the advance level towards research area of biology which impressed me alot. The focus on animal biology, statistics, cell biology & genetics, ecology & wildlife conservation, Immunology & biotechnology leads a foundation to successfully enter the real-world and apply this knowledge for better cause of humans as well as animals. As the therotical teaching method can differ from on-hand experience on field there is a need to improve the course curriculum around this issue. The learning period was designed perfectly in-course of the prepaption time between each test and it wasn't difficult if we are well prepared.

It's average or below average in term of real world experience curriculum there no such thing. Teaching is not bad there are big screen in class to teach from and blackboard. But most students don't know anything about the real world projects and techniques. Syllabus is controlled by mumbai University is too told and does not have any use in real world industries which need to be changed and most important since IT sector is something which advances and changes each year

Course Curriculum Overview:

I\n Chose this course in specific this college.Because first of all , it was afforrable as compared to others institutes.I can say that we weren't getting any experience which can prepare us for the real world experience like we were made to sit in workshops which was not at all connected to our curriculum. And then later on, when we said we don't want to attend it.We were given lame excuses like this will help you. And we will give you certificates for this. And later on , we were given nothing. Course needs a lot of improvement.I guess because they doesn't favor student feedbacks. The exam are typically in june and depends upon ycmou college dosent have any role to it and its not that difficult with basic knowledge you can score well.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course provides an exceptional knowledge of the fundamentals of physics and its application in various fields. The course is designed to prepare the students well. The teaching method is excellent for the teachers to use real-life examples and exciting visuals while teaching. However, the course can be improved by adding some modern physics fields such as astrophysics and quantum mechanics to the curriculum.
