IIITG'S Review

Academics is good as number of students are less and proffersoes are more but extracurricular activities lack campus is small with very few shops and few places ti hang out and chill but it do have a IIIT tag in it

The curriculum is different than others as it focuses on your branch rather than teaching other subjects which most of the enginering institutes do even the prominent institutes like iit and nit follow this which is absurd

Placements are increasing day by day the job opportunity also have the same trend but i cant say much as i am a freshman there and i dont have complete info regarding this matter but all of the things i have heard leads to this.

Expensive for me but feasible as compared to private institutions (non government enginering colleges) our college is of national importance which implies it is a government institution so some of the charges are less.

As you know it is a government institution so it do contain some offers for your college fess as if you belong to tj schedulded castes you have less fee as compared to the general category students and there is a quota even for ews candidate

Labs are good they contain good quality equipments for research purposes the equipments are new and advance but sports facilities lack as there is no playground for any sports students do all sort of things in a small ground

The alumni network is not that strong and large as it is a new college so only few batches have passed out and out of them only few have achieved any big goals or position but still it is good for a fairly small college

The JEE(joint entrance examination) is the main criterion for selection in the institutes of national importance it is conducted by the government on an early basis and according to your marks a rank list is prepared. On the basis of the JEE rank a rank list was made and i filled my choices and got selected according to availability and priority

The faculty is quite well qualified but half of them lacks teaching skills as qualification doesn't justifies your passion for teaching which is completely different from other things. But some of them are really good teachers and i believe just because of them i and happy
