Remarks
Since the college has classes on Saturdays also,the week becomes very hectic for the students. Plus if we are involved in co-curricular activities as well ,it becomes very difficult to get 85% attendance.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course syllabus is very modern and up to date. Exam pattern in a bit hectic.There are two internals in each semester and 4 quizes. The quizes are for 3 credits and internals are for 17 credits and 4 credits for assignment. You have to gain 20 credits to be eligible for Sem end exams
Placement Experience
Most of the streams get very decent placements. More than 40-50 % students get placed every year. The average package is around 4-5lpa. Any decent student with skills to match has a very good chance of getting placed in a good company.
College Events
There are a lot of individual groups that come of with their events throughout the year. These include freshers events and other technical and fun events. Then there is the college fest called the HALCYON. It is a three day event .There is also ethnic day and other such events.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It's a tad on the expensive side for COMED-K students. For CET students it's quite affordable. COMED-K students are generally paying around 2.25 los . CET students have the annual fees of around 70-80k INR
Fees and Financial Aid
There is a scholarship for CET students.they have some merits lists . For COMED-K students I dint think there is any scholarship plan .There is a loan system though through the Karnataka bank branch present in the college campus
Campus Life
There is a lot of opportunities in the field of sports. The stadium is very good the the courts of various sports are well maintained. There are also a lot of groups for music,dance,theatircs etc . These groups take part in events in various colleges .
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is very spacious and clean. The bathrooms are well maintained and the ambiance and atmosphere is very nice. Food is very healthy but sometimes the taste is not up to the mark. Other than that there is also free WiFi.
Alumni/Alumna
The seniors are very helpful. There is the odd banter but there is no scene for Ragging inside the campus. The management is very strict. The students can approach seniors anytime without hesitation if they want help. But we also have to be very respecful in front of the seniors .
Admission
Through counselling after appearing in COMED-K exam. Once you get a decent enough rank in the exam,you have to attend the counselling slot given to you according to your rank and choose the available college with the available course .
Faculty
Highly knowledgeable and experienced.The professors are very helpful and guide us very nicely. They also encourage us to take up news projects and guide us in our respective fields.They also focus on our job profiles rather than sticking to the academics.
