Only CMAT (Twice In A Year),I Scored Around 99 Percentile And I Opted for SIMSR because it was 3rd in ranking For MMS Course and With 99 Percentile I couldn't get admission in the top 2 colleges that is JBIMS And Shydnem also one to the reasons to join SIMSR would be the infrastructure of the college which is huge and one of its kind.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course MMS is very good for learning purposes and will teach you how to become a successful manager and it does not focus on only one aspect rather it provides you an holistic view of becoming a manager specially subjects like strategic management and research methodology provides you with great knowledge which will help you practically in the real corporate world.
Internships Opportunities
Yes our college provides internship companies like Wipro,Gowardhan,Barcaleys,GAP,Cap Gemini etc were there. I got selected in a company named "Pride Of Cows" which is a sister concern company of Gowardhan and the profile was to spread the awareness about the company through various marketing activities and the stipend was Rs 7500 For 45 Days.
Placement Experience
Placement and the job opportunities are humongous, each and every one in my batch got placed and the average package was around Rs 6-7 Lac and companies like Wipro, Accenture,Infosys,AQ,TAM India,Zee TV etc were there for the final placements. There were also some companies which offered packages like 12 Lacs 14 Lacs and 16 Lacs and a couple of students were placed in these companies as well Companies Like Snapdeal,Amazon,JLT,Nike etc were the dream companies with high packages.
College Events
There were many events which were held by SIMSR but the two biggest events were "Sunburn" which was held in the Somaiya Ground No 8 and Rs 800 was the entry fee and famous DJ were booked for the event and the second event was "Melange" which was held in the month of february and it was one of the biggest events of SIMSR and Rs 1,500 was the entry fee and it had all the events like dancing, fashion show,Singing, games etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee Structure is a little bit expensive as compared to other colleges but when you look at the quality of teaching the faculties and mainly the infrastructure of the college the fees is totally worth it. For the first year the fees was Rs 2.38 Lacs and for the second year it was Rs 2.17 Lacs.
Fees and Financial Aid
I don't have any idea about that since I never opted for one but I know there was some kind of EMI facility which student could opt for if they want to pay the whole fees in parts.
Campus Life
The campus life in SIMSR was super awesome mainly because of the infrastructure of the college which was massive it had a huge chess which anyone can play a whole football size ground for playing football also a race track and a tennis court where anyone can explore their skills there was no gender disequality at Somaiya and the male to female ratio was a little high in our batch also there were lot of workshops held for students to learn more and more each day I myself attended a couple of them like "Forevision" workshop for Excel and Digital Marketing and also a workshop on Photoshop and there were guest lectures every week from industry's great achievers and faculties from different colleges.
Hostel Facilities
I cannot comment on the hostel facilities and the mess and all because I did not opt for hostel since I have my own house in Mumbai but I had some of my friends in hostel and the according to them the hostel facilities were not up to the mark specially th
Alumni/Alumna
The Alumni are quite helpful they can provide you any information that you require if you approach them also the network is very good and they have created a alumni batch on google groups where they continuously share various helpful information.
Exam Structure
Exam Structure was as usual since MMS was a course which was affiliated with the Mumbai University the exam structure was like 4 Semester 2 Semester in 1 Year and the 3rd Semester was the Specialisation which anyone selects so overall it was a chilled out
