Remarks

Positive - The college provides you a great platform to grow yourself as a good person as well as a good engineer. There is good learning experience one get and good memories which are lifetime memorable. Negative- expectations of humans never end, so sometimes students feels like its a government college and feels helpless in front of faculties and staff

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The mechanical branch in NIT Kurukshetra is quite famous in North India. And its 6 month internship program makes it even unique and different from others. The exam difficulty level is high for some subjects as well as marking . But most of em are chill. Mechanical Engineering in NIT Kurukshetra is famous also because of its SAE Collegiate Club.

Placement Experience

4

The Placement opportunities are quite good here as compared to other most colleges. Companies starts visiting for placement from 1st week of the final year. Students appear for their test and are selected in a good ratio with sound packages

College Events

4

There is two major cultural fests Confluence and Utkarsh and one technical fest Techspardha organised in the college by the college students in the odd semesters. The level is quite good and they have got their respective attractions. Apart from these sports events are also organised .

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure for the students here is quite feasible . It is divided on the basis of financial condition or the annual family income. For <1 lpa - around 10k per sem For 1-5 lpa - around 35k per sem For >5 lpa - around 75k per sem One can easily the study loan from sbi branch available within the college if needed

Fees and Financial Aid

There are a number of scholarships for which students can apply. The details for which are provided in the college brochure given on first day. For loan - there is an SBI branch within the college campus. Those who need study loan, can apply on the admission date on site or later whn needed

Campus Life

4.5

There are a number of clubs and societies of students (technical and cultural). There students can be a part of as per areas of interest. Labs are top class, well established with new technologies and yet developing. For sports guys, the sports ground is also good and big enough and well maintained . The sports culture is also good. College gym is although not upto mark as per the funds sanctioned for the sports .

Hostel Facilities

4

Talking about hostels, first thing that should be remembered is that these are hostels, Not hotels . As per hostels, these are good enough to live in and quite affordable good enough eatable food (except for sometime)

Alumni/Alumna

The college was established back in 1963 with name REC and it was renamed to NIT in 2008. The alumni network of the college is very strong and good. They are quite helpful and still connected to the college. Many of the alumnis of the college are currently working at very high posts in recognized firms.

Admission

I studied throughout 11-12th and prepared in kota in dropped out year in 2016 in Allen Career institute. I appeared for jee mains 2017 and in the councelling i got mechanical branch in NIT Kurukshetra.

Faculty

3

Most of them seems like helpful. But after coming from school or coaching in 11th -12th. The teaching standard feels like low. But this is quite a enough to pass the exams and appear for placement. AOne has to learn most from books or YouTube videos.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I am very fond of computers and mobile devices since my childhood and want to learn the work behind these smart gadgets. Overall faculty students ratio is good it is approximately 1:40. Most of the teachers are M.tech qualified from prestigious universities like Jamia and Aligarh and some PhD holders as well. As far as teaching is concerned, the overall methodology is good and don't expect some game changing scenarios. Most of the time, term exams happen in timely manner. Due to covid there was some sort of irregularities but now it is all good right now. Passing exams is not that much challenging if you have basic understanding of concepts and ability to apply them. Most of questions comes from previous year papers.
