Remarks

There are no negatives to be pointed against college of engineering Chengannur. Unlike other college our college does not have a vast area but our college has managed to exhibit each every primary infrastructures a college requires.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I am an electrical and electronics engineering student studying in college of engineering Chengannur under dr. Abdul kalam technical university aka ktu. As per my opinion ktu provide a well matured syllabus for EEE students

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements in the college are comparable to to many other top rated colleges in the state. 2015- 2019 batch students had a wonderful placement. Last year 42 different companies from different branches opted 175 of over students from 189 job oppurtunity.

College Events

4.5

Over college conducts different workshops each every month through different forum which are active very much like IEEE IEDC TPC NSS NCC PRODEC CFS. and summit and magnum are conducted in every alternate years.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure are very much feasible. General caste students pay INR 35000/- per year if they are admitted through state merit seat were backward caste pay they thier respective fee accordingly after their concession.

Fees and Financial Aid

As i am of general caste am not eligible for any scholarship to my knowledge. But many other scholarship are provided to other students who are off backward caste and many other scholarship are given to financially backward students.

Campus Life

4.5

College of engineering Chengannur is managed by IHRD. One of the main events hosted by our college is the intra IHRD futsal football tournament CAMPION which is conducted every year. And the labs in the college are very beneficial to the students.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

I have opted hostel facility. Hostel infrastructures are good but not that much appreciable. And we pay an average amount of INR 5500/- per month. This may vary accordingly as the holidays come and as per the rent.

Alumni/Alumna

Speaking of Alumni network of college i feel goosebumps inside me. As a 1st year am new to the college but I've witnessed many alumnus visiting their college and their teachers and non teaching staff.

Admission

I've got admission in CEC via entrance exam conducted by government. The exam was conducted on 2nd and 3rd of may 2019. Higher secondary marks of repective subjects were submitted to the office of commissioner for entrance examination kerala state education board thorough online method via candidate portal. After the announcement rank list option registration for different colleges and courses were subbmited.

Faculty

5

The faculties of my college is one to be appreciated. A good team of mentors provided to each course in the campus. And an expert staff advisor is also provided to each and every class from 1st years to the 4th years.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
