Remarks

Who said studying Engineering in KIIT's is considered to be bad!! Just like after coming to any Engineering College, Class 12th result hardly matters like that after completing your B.Tech, similarly it hardly matters from where you have completed your B.Tech degree. What matters is your knowledge and passion about the task assigned by the company. Truly speaking before taking admission into KIIT, same image was there in my mind too but after coming to this college, I will say I never regretted it again. Like other colleges there are so many good, brilliant minded students there in KIIT. They never complain about any things, rather they stay focused and achieve all the things that they have wanted to achieve in their life.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

course curriculum is vast and in 1st year the course mainly focuses on the after 12th classes .in 2nd year the course will be sticking to your opted subjects it will be focused on the subjects opted for rather than being vast.

Placement Experience

4

placemts are good ,i wont be saying that the placements are very nice but are fine .we're having a placement of 100%.We usually get a lot of mass recruiters in our campus .the thing which we lack in are having core recruiters.

College Events

4.5

we usually celebrate almost every occasion in kiit ,leaving the state specific festivals.recently we've celebrated ganesh chaturthi we even got special menu for that specific day .we celebrated independence day. and diwali was celebrated with great pomp and joy.we even lit up the hostels using diyas and candels.

Fee Structure And Facilities

the fee structure is expensive, being honest . we have to spend a lot of money which doesnt seem to be worthy maybe if the fee structure was not expensive nor cheap but moderate it would be the best ever college.

Fees and Financial Aid

i havent availed any kind of loan from the college but this college even provides the free education to schedule tribe children which are below poverty line.they are getting benifited but for the people like us who are middle class they get sandwiched between the upper and lower class people.

Campus Life

5

the lab and sports are extraordinary it also has an international hockey playing ground ,everything is superb labs do have a lot of facilities ,lab assistants are also present.sports is the most sparkling thing ever happened in kiit .

Hostel Facilities

4.5

the mess fee is 13500 rs per month which is chep ofcourse for a single semester and the hostel fee is 28000 rs for 1 semester that is 3bedded non ac hostel.it is ok if you are opting for non ac hostel but if you are opting for ac hostel it will cost you more than double of non ac hostel

Alumni/Alumna

they are helpfull. many colleges have the complaint of being ragged but here the case is opposite we get the benifited in many ways .seniors provide us study materials and are very kind.they even have made whatsapp groups to guide us through all the difficulties faced by us.

Admission

by giving kiitee if you are having proper rank then you may be called for counselling if every thing is verified then you may be selected. Admissions to all the programmes offered by Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology is done through KIITEE (KIIT Entrance exam) except MBBS, BDS, PG Medical & PG Dental. Admissions to MBBS, BDS, PG Medical & PG Dental courses will be done through NEET.Soon after KIITEE concludes, the institute releases the results by first week of May/June. Basis the marks and ranks obtained in the exam, aspirants need to go through a counselling process. The classes start by first week of August each year.

Faculty

3.5

the faculties are very nice ,caring and are very informative some of them are from nits and iits too.they do care how the students are performing in their day to day life and are very much concerned to know are they living their life in hostel.they do explain the problems many a times without getting irritated which is a nice thing in my opinion.

Our college give good placement but packages are very low package start with 150000 and end in 700000 . But you study properly then you try pursuing higher studies. 40% students placed but below 400000 . after completing you try off campus placement then you secured good salary on good company.

Placement Experience:

So the students become eligible for placemant usually from the 7th semester of the Btech which is from the 4th year and the internship opportunities are available from the 3rd year onwards that is from 5th and 6th semester. So in year 2024-25 the number of companies that visited The campus is around 330 And the total job offers offered is about 1200. So the highest package in the EC branch is about 1.2 crore per annum and the average package for the EC branch is around 13 to 14 lakhs. And the Profile of jobs are core electronics, VLSI and semiconductor roles ,system and embedded developments, software engineering, IT services, consulting and analytics. The percentage of student which are getting placed are in the range of 90 to 99% for ECE branch. The top recruiters are Apple Google, Microsoft, Amazon, wipro, Deloitte, Tata,Vedanta etc. After completing my degree in ECE from NIT Rourkela my plan is to join the core technology sector as a VLSI and semiconductor engineer in a reputed multinational Companies, leveraging the strong foundation and industrial exposure gained during my studies in case I do not secure a campus placement I aim to pursue the off campus opportunities in electronics, IT or analytics sectors. Alternatively I am open to perceive higher studies in MBA to specialize in the management sector.

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.
