P Rakesh Reddy's Review On Keshav Memorial Institute Of Technology - [KMIT], Hyderabad

The college is one of the best in hyderabad city. The management did never put pressure on students about tuition fee as they gave maximum time to pay it.

I wrote AP state engineering exam EAMCET in 2009 and got 90 out of 160 marks. And then inquired about the different local engineering colleges and chose KMIT as it is the best in the hyderabad city. And also I stay in hyderabad local area, I joined it.

I chose Electronics as it is considered as evergreen course.Our college is affiliated to JNTU HYDERABAD, so I can say that the course curriculum is best and upto the present day standards.Faculty of various departments is also very good and their qulaification is also as per the required UGC STANDARDS.

There was no internship facility provided to us.We were given some oppurtunities to work with professors in research and development wing of electronics branch without any stipend.

Placements in our college are very good especially for computer engineers as most of the companies came to our college gave jobs to CSE branch students. And students from other branches also got jobs .Totally about 90% of the students got placed in different companies.

CULTURAL events like KMIT Dandiya and patang utsav were held in our college. Apart from these, other technical fests like IEEE were also conducted in our college.

The tution fee is very less when compared to other engineering collges in the city.And for merit students, however state government is providing fee reimbursement, so I dont think fee will be a problem at all.

The college doesn't provide any scholorship to the students as the state and central governments are already providing total fee reimbursement to the merit and economically backward class students.

I enjoyed a lot in my college life, playing volleyball, basketball and inter-college cricket tournaments. Also participated in college annual functions celebrated in the college ground.

There are no hostel facilities in our college. Only private hostels are there near by our college which take less rental fee and provide all the required amenities.

The college started functioning from 2007. So not many batches passed out from our college, but recently some old students started a alumni network in facebook.

The exams were not very frequent. Though the syllabus was huge, faculty took extra sessions to cover the entire syllabus before the semester end exams.
