Remarks

None to be specific. The college is overall great including a great environment for overall development of a student. It offers all aspects that a student needs for a healthy exposure to the outside competitive world.

Placement Experience

4.5

The Placement and Job Cell is responsible for this. They regularly update us with opportunities wrt the companies coming to the campus based on whether they are coming for internship or placements. List of companies include Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Samsung, Amazon and other companies. I have been selected for 2 month internship at Samsung with a Stipend of Rs 50,000/- per month.

College Events

4.5

The main 2 events are the Technical Fest: TechTatva and Cultural Fest: Revels. These 2 fests take place during the course of an academic year with TechTatva being held in the Odd Semester ie in the month of October and Revels being organized in Even Semester ie March-April. Both are extremely well handled by a committee of students known as the Core Committee for the respective fest along with the Student Council. Each fest is divided into categories, each category either organizing a set of events related to their domain such as Robotics, Development , Cyber security, etc in Technical and Music, Dance, Dramatics, etc in Cultural or supporting the smooth functioning of these categories such as operations, finance, HR, etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure varies from branch to branch. But compared to other colleges it is a little expensive ie considering the fact that the town is a little remotely located. But the college is well equipped with any and every facility including a medical college under the same University offering medical insurance to students along with other medical assistance, gymnasiums, swimming pools, athletic grounds, technical and non-technical space for activities, etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are merit based scholarships applicable for academic achievements throughout the duration of the course. Other than this the college also provides AICTE scholarships for students from economically weak backgrounds. People with a good enough ranking are also eligible for merit cum means scholarships which is based on their total family income.

Campus Life

5

The college offers alot of extra curricular activities, including technical, cultural, sports and research oriented. The Technical side includes clubs like student chapters for the respective branches and other clubs based on some technical skills like software/hardware development, etc. Cultural clubs include music, dance, modelling, photography, media and coverage, etc activities. Sports includes all major sport teams. Research oriented includes Student Based Research Projects based on Robotics, Mar Rover challenge, Aeronautics, Self Driving cars, Defence Drone Technology, etc.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostel infrastructure is of top grade as a result of the relatively higher hostel fees. It has proper maintenance and security. The hostels are no less than a regular hotel and have facilities like in house night canteen, common rooms and in some cases gymnasiums as well.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes the alumi network is huge including students from all around the globe. Some renowned alumni include Satya Nadella, CEO - Microsoft and Rajeev Suri, CEO - Nokia. Most of the alumni are helpful wrt guiding juniors in career prospects and providing other forms of assistance.

Admission

Entrance exam followed by ranking. Counselling session at college campus with seat registration and confirmation of admission at the time of joining. Overall the process was completely Hassle free and most of it was online, making it speedy from getting admit cards for the entrance exam to all the payments including course, hostel and the entrance exam fee itself. The counselling session mainly involved calling people in order of their rank and confirming individually about the confirmed branches keeping merit as the sole criterion.

Faculty

4

In general the faculty is decent, it mostly depends teacher to teacher, but since the portion is more inclined towards theory, the practical proficiency that one expects from them might not be met. Never the less, most of them are helpful and encourage healthy forms of learning.

They fake a lot of their placements....now the bangalore campus currently has 40%placements but they fake the placement rates to make it look like its 80 or 90% which is sad...i heard that if u have really bad marks and couldnt get placed(a lot of ece and eee people, cause they will purposefully try to fail u so that u can apply for the couse again) they will make u sign a document were u agree u never sat for placements.

Placement Experience:

Students at RVCE become eligible for campus placements typically from the seventh semester onwards. Several reputed companies visit the campus for recruitment, offering a wide range of job opportunities to students. Some of the prominent companies include Infosys, Wipro, TCS, IBM, and Accenture, among others. These companies make a significant number of job offers across various profiles, including software development, consulting, and research. The highest package offered varies from year to year and can range from ?10-20 lakhs per annum, depending on the company and the profile offered. The average package generally falls between ?4-8 lakhs per annum. The percentage of students getting placements varies, but RVCE has a consistently high placement record, with a significant majority of students securing job offers during campus placements.
