Remarks

Yes, my college is great yet it neglects some branches like biotechnology, Fashion technology, Mse and their placements are 2-3%. So may be better can be done by more alumini interaction and promoting college in the outside world.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Yeah course curriculum is quite good, it covers all required topics and the practical knowledge by various industry visits and internship, etc. There are 3 exams, 2 internals and 1 external(semester). The internal is of 15 marks each and semester is 70 marks each. So basically it makes us prepare better and the questions we get in exam is too subject oriented. But you have to study to maintain your GPA throughout the 4 years

Placement Experience

4

Yes they provide internships, and alot more industrial visits to make us industry ready. The placement is good. Around 75% of the students get placed at the end of college. I had been to internship at Arvind ltd in Ahemdabad which is a vast textile industry. And now am placed at accenture as i wanted to change my stream and so software is what i chose.

College Events

4

There are alot of fests, puja, and events organised by college. From starting we have freshers party and then ganesh puja, biswakarma puja, teacher's day, then we have our technical fest where all the colleges from around take part in it. Then we enjoy our cultural fest which is conducted for 3 days and the whole college dance and enjoy in their tune. It so much fun. Finally we have our farewell for our seniors and then the new session begins with the same cycle.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is feasible because it is a government college and the students around odisha comes to this college and some cities neighbouring odisha too. So many students here comes from a poor fanancial background who have a good score in JEE exam and thus our college give them the opportunity to achieve their dream without money being an issue or stop in their career.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes i received the merit scholarship from college for being the top 5 students in tge class in case of academic performance. There are alot other scholarships that are given by colleges like medhabrutti, prerna etc. For financially poor students the college provide more scholarships and for socially backward students there are numerous numbers of scholarships. There is students loan that a student can apply for study purpose at a very less interest. The details i don't know.

Campus Life

2.5

Every branch has their own labs and sports are well supported by college. Oh yes i forgot to add 2 sports event that takes place in the college. The 1st is inter-college competition and another is among the college students - "the Annual sports". There is gym, badminton club, cricket, football, table tennis, volley ball, chess and etc etc. Our college has banged alot of prizes by taking part in othet college competitions too.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes in our 2nd year of college, An AC (alumini coordinator) is selected who contacts all the aluminis of the branch who helps alot and are a vital part of college. We have frequent alumini meetings, seminars, even individual branch and also college get together in a year.

Admission

After 12th boards i gave the JEE entrance exam conducted in All India basis. I got two lakh eighty thousand and twenty seven rank and then i applied in this college online. And there itself i selected the textile branch and so i got into it.

Faculty

4

We have alot of seniors faculties who are well experienced and have a vast knowledge in their field. The college also has the temporary or juniors teachers who take the easy subject classes. One thing i love about my college is it arranges alot of seminars where aluminis, guests, many important successful people come to speak. It also arranges guest faculties for regular classes and overall the teachers and their teaching methods and upto the mark making it one of the best govt. Tech college in odisha.

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.

Placement Experience:

Placements in our college are good but not great. Th overall performance of students getting placement from every branch course combined is more than seventy percent. But the percentage in branch to branch respective wise is different , as Computer science engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering and Electrical Engineering have higher placement rates than any other courses. From Seventh semester students became eligible for sitting in placements. You can say from the start of Fourth year students sit in placements. Many companies visit and offer placements to our students but the big companies are TCS( Tata consultancy services) , Infosys, Adani Limited , Reliance Limited , Tata Power and Co.. The highest package offered to our branch course ( Electrical Engineering ) Is 13 LPA by Tata Power. The percentage of students getting placed by Electrical Engineering is pretty good and is 77%. Overall percentage of students from all branches is 72%. My plans after getting the degree is simple. I am preparing for placements and also for gate exam . I want to give myself a chance . I will try to get a big placement from a big company as I want . If that doesn't go according to my plan I will try to qualify gate exam and will do Masters in Technology in a. Higher Institute.
