Remarks
The best part about this college is that it's away from City environment. The environment here is very calming and quite. It's pollution free and very close to nature. The environment is very soothing. Though there's a problem of floods which disturbs every year.
Course Curriculum Overview
The CUSAT CAT consists of questions from plus two syllabus. The exam is a lot easier than most of the entrance exams in India. The course is as par with IITs and NITs.The colleges is away from city in a uqite environment which a plus point
Placement Experience
The placements at CUCEK which comes under CUSAT are of the level of NITs. This year (2019) the highest package was 29 lakhs pa. There is 100% placements for CSE and IT branches. Though for core branches the placements are not so descent.
College Events
Coding events, Hackathons and lots of other events are organised by both CUCEK and CUSAT. There are frequent workshops for Computer science and Information technology students. The college also has it's cultural fests.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure here at CUSAT under which CUCEK comes is one of the cheapest in India. It's much cheaper than NITs , IIITs or IITs. The fee structure for BTech is 89000 per year. Whereas the fee for BTech in any college in India is much higher than that.
Fees and Financial Aid
CUSAT provides a lot of scholarships for both Keralite and non Keralite students. Additionally one can also procure loans and Scholarships from National Scholarships Portal. CUSAT is a central government University, this facilitates in procuring loans from banks as well.
Campus Life
There is plenty of space to plag different sports at CUCEK. There are labs also. Though the labs don't have all the facilities. 2nd year and other senior students are taken to Ernakulam campus for workshops. Though for Computer Science and Information Technology students the labs are quite good.
Hostel Facilities
No, CUCEK doesn't have any hostel facility. But accommodation is quite affordable around CUCEK. Though the SOE which comes under CUSAT provides hostel facilities. SOE ( School of Engineering) is the other engineering college under CUSAT
Alumni/Alumna
There are a lot of renowned alumni from this college. Even the collector of the district Alappuzha where this college is situated is an alumni of this college. The president of Reliance Industries is an alumni of this college.
Admission
First I took an entrance exam call CUSAT CAT, them they published the result after that we had online options registration then online allotments was made to different courses. After that there was an offline centralised allotment for remaining seats.
Faculty
The faculty is quite intellectual. The faculties are highly educated and take a lot of interest in teaching. The teachers are quite cooperative also. Most of the faculties have experience of more than 20 years.
