Remarks

Nil. If you love your course there wont b any problem dealing with the college. In fact it is very cool. Only problem if any would be with the food. A few may not get adjusted to it.

Entrance Preview

After clearing our 12th class. We need to write a state exam named Karnataka CET. I secured a 722 rank. Based on rank and the caste category we will allotted a seat of our choice. I choose BIMS as it was a govt college. And also it had a very good teaching faculty. Even the city is awesome.

The degree is of 5 and half year including one year of compulsory internship. It has about 18 subjects altogether. Talking about reasearch Mbbs is basically a UG degree so there is no much focus on research but u can definately do a small research if you are selected for ICMR. Research comes mainly in PG.

There is an internship in this college for one year. It includes almost all the departments. It is based on rotation. We get a stipend of 15000 a month.

Exam Structure

As such medical course is hectic by itself. Its good for nerds. Every year u should pass a university exam which will b both theory as well as practical. Its difficult to clear these exams if u r not well equipped. But if u have prepated u need not worry

All the 18 subjects are taught well. Some of the lecturers are very good. They teach the most to understand the topic. They are very old teachers will hell of teaching experience. As it is a government college most the patients are very co operative.

Course Curriculum Overview:

curriculum is designed to be highly relevant and comprehensive for modern medical practice.Early Clinical Exposure is One of the strongest aspects of the curriculum is introducing students to patients in their very second year. The final year of the curriculum—the Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) is effective it prepares students for the high-pressure environment of Indian healthcare, making them very capable of handling emergencies and outpatient departments (OPD ). Students feel that lectures are still too focused on passive PowerPoint presentations.Rigorous schedule, integrating "Life Skills" or "Stress Management" modules more formally into the foundation course would be helpful. The university exams (RGUHS) are generally fair but require a very high level of descriptive writing and practical precision.
